thats the same question we all keep asking each other. i'm going to gamble and wait til 2 days before i travel on 4th may. i might get a few though once it goes over 1.5.

let me have a look in my trousers... no... no crystal balls there :)
if we knew the upcoming rate we'd be playing the markets.
I'd say, buy a % of your spending money at that rate. If it improves you've not lost out too much. If it goes down, you're quids in!

I guess it all depends on how you'll take a huge rise (we wish!). If you'd be gutted if it was 1.55 and you bought at 1.49.. wait
If you'd be gutted if it dropped to 1.35 knowing you could have bought at 1.49, buy at 1.49...

depending on how much you're going to change it won't make a huge difference anyway....
  • u think it will go above that tho? its been goin up the past few days.. but its done that before and then dropped and ive been gutted that i hadnt bought them!

that would be my plan of action.
but i'm a pessimist and reckon it's going to drop like a stone at any random minute...
  • collapsed to 1.4480 now

    profit taking:whistle:

well as the southern shandy softy monkfish said yesterday, the rise was due to a weakening of the US$... not a gain of strength in the UK£.

So, as far as I believe it aint going to storm ahead... especially not in the next few weeks.
Saying that I might be talking horlicks...
