    my thoughts for the day?

I think Man Utd will get Porto
    Arsenal will get Barcelona
    Chelsea will get Brian Munich
    and Liverpool will get Villareal

I think i'll go for few beers in the Sunshiiiiine at lunchtime

I think Cable will go up a bit, down a bit, along a bit, and finally up a bit more:confused:

I don't tend to think too much, because it hurts though !!

  • 07:36 20Mar09 GBP/USD: Helped Off Low by Optimistic BoE Dale Comments

[07:35 GBP/USD: Buoyed by Optimistic BoE Chief Economist Dale Comments] London,
March 20. Cable has rallied from a late Asian session intra-day low of 1.4429 to
test 1.4515 (today"s Asian session top) in early European trade, as the continent
absorbs upbeat comments from Spencer Dale in an FT interview. The BoE"s Chief
Economist says Britain may have endured the worst of the recession, stating that
"a substantial amount of the total contraction we"re going to see has come
    through".

Dale also points to signs that the weakness of the pound is leading UK
businesses and consumers to switch to "buying British" as imported goods and
services become more expensive, offering a further boost for the UK. GBP/USD
    plumbed a 24-year low of 1.3500 earlier this quarter (Jan 23). EUR/GBP scaled a
record peak of 0.9805 late in 2008 (Dec 30).

The Federal Reserve"s "Quantitative Easing" plan is underpinning GBP/USD, re:
fears over its long-term impact on the greenback. The rate was trading at 1.3955
    into Wednesday"s 18:15GMT FOMC statement.

Sterling offers are touted around 1.4600, with further supply noted at 1.4660
    and 1.4675. Large 16:00GMT London fix-related demand helped inflate GBP/USD to a
22-day high two pips shy of 1.4600 yesterday. Eastern European supply was flagged
as a factor in today"s late Asian fall to 1.4429.
A $639m London hedge fund, Weavering Capital, collapsed last night re: a
    derivatives position (FT).

  • 07:53 20Mar09 GBP/USD: Helped North by UK Clearer Buying, 1.4600 Resistance

[07:53 GBP/USD: Helped North by UK Clearer Buying, 1.4600 Resistance] London,
March 20. UK clearer buying is being flagged as a factor in cable"s early Europe
surge to an intra-day high of 1.4575, from a late Asian session intra-day low of
    1.4429. Offers are touted around 1.4600 (1.4598 was yesterday"s 22-day peak),
with further supply noted at 1.4660 and 1.4675 (1.4663 was the Feb 23 high).

The Federal Reserve"s "Quantitative Easing" plan is underpinning GBP/USD, re:
fears over its long-term impact on the greenback. Sterling was trading at 1.3955
    into Wednesday"s 18:15GMT FOMC statement. 1.3844 was Wednesday"s six-day low
    (post-UK unemployment data).
