She turned up at your WEDDING?? I'm betting that she made some excuse involving the little girl then too.

    <thinkshard>emoticon...

    How about this...

Suggest that they fly out between Christmas and New Year to join you... this sends the ex the message that YOU are having a family Christmas, but you can dress it up to look as if you're being kind... "We wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable or left out on Christmas Day". It also gives the little girl two Christmasses in a way- her normal one with her mum and than an extra one with her dad and his family. If she takes you up on this offer then by the time they arrive you'll all be in the swing of things and it'll be harder for her to interfere/make things difficult.

With a bit of luck she'll realise that the idea is ludicrous and may well have a grump and just offer to let you have the little girl for the whole time.

She sounds like a total mentalist tho imho

Wonderful idea! plus the flights will be cheaper!

TOTO...I can't believe the cheek of the woman...she will have won if you don't go and is probably so evil to as tell you that she had slept with him or something else stupid..do not let this evil woman win...I would go as normal and if you agree to her coming for his daughters sake then I would prove to her just how happy you 2 are together. What does his mum say to having her stay..if she doesn't want her to thats a get out clause...
She is obviously a very strange woman...if all else fails don't take her and then when you get back have a lovely time with his daughter...I really feel for you in this situation as its awful but whatever you decide to do don't let it come between you and DH or his relationship with his daughter..DO NOT stay at home though!!!
Shes an evil twisted bitter cow...my rant over..sorry I couldn't just pass by without a comment(or two) as people like that pee me off
