Thanks sar... right guys and girls get your heads around this one!

Ok, you know we are off to canada for christmas and new year to stay with hubby's family. Well, hubby has a 6 year old daughter from his first marriage. The little one is a darling, the mother is a complete and utter bloody nightmare, I actually don't think there is enough room on Martin's server for me to explain why, but lets say she has used every trick in the book to get in between fran and I, she has stopped him from seeing the little one, she even follows him when he does go and pick up his daughter for a few hours to see where he is going!

Anyway, Fran's grandmother is 92 years old and she hasn't seen his daughter since she was a few weeks old, because the ex wife refuses to let his family see her. But, as the ex wife has been slightly more reasonable since the wedding I thought we would just try to ask if his daughter could come with us over christmas fully expecting her to say no, but at least we asked.

She phoned fran last night to say she thinks it would be lovely for the little one to see his family but the condition for her going to canada is that she comes too. Yes, she wants to come and stay over christmas with us. Quite where she thinks she's going to stay I don't know, probably in the flippin bed with us!

My gut says, there is no way on earth I can spend 10 days with this woman. But, I am aware that this is the only way that his family will get to spend time with the little one, so I'm going to have to agree... aren't I?

It's a tough one. If you decided to go with it, explain that you don't have enough space for her to stay with you and that she is going to have to find somewhere to stay on her own.

What do hubby's family think of her?

I agree with IA... Sounds like a very weird thing to suggest. I mean which normal person wants to spend Christmas with their ex's family??!!!
