Thanks both. I’ve just had a long soak in the bath and am starting to feel human again. I think I’m going to ask for a sick note and take another week off work though and just take things easy.
I’ve no idea what our finances are looking like. We had plans to go shopping on my birthday, but with everything that happened only got as far as Tesco. I did get myself a nice jumper dress there though. I’ve since picked up a few more clothes (another jumper dress and a few winter jumpers) as a late birthday treat.Typically, just as I’m trying to take it easy, bookings have picked up on our accommodation again. We’ve got 2 bookings this week and another next week. To be fair, DH had already cleaned and changed the bedding when our last guests checked out so he’s quickly freshened it up and I’ve just given it an inspection. It’s an extra £600 in the pot so can’t afford to turn it down.2 -

Thank you all. I spoke to the GP first thing and she’s signed me off work for a week. Once the DCs were packed off to school I went back to bed for a while. I don’t think I went back to sleep but managed to rest until about 11.The house is upside down at the moment after having the heating system done, and now we’re part way through having the pantry built (by FIL). So DH got on with some painting today whilst I did a little baking (I should earn £7 from a small order being collected tomorrow and we have lots left over for us). I’ve also cleared out the fridge and updated my budget spreadsheet to the end of the year. I don’t want to put pressure on myself to do too much this week but I’ve made of to do list of things I’d like to get done. The major plus side is that DH has seen my list and ticked a few items off with me even having to ask.1

So sorry to hear about your baby @WelshKitty85...speaking from experience, though you miss the one that got away, another does come along surprisingly quickly very often if that's what you want. Rest and be kind to yourself; well done on the money. Love Humdinger xx1

Thank you @Humdinger1
DH is asking if I want to try again and doesn’t believe me when I say I don’t know. We weren’t thinking about having another and it wouldn’t be the best timing, but I just don’t know.
Baking order was collected today for £8 and I’m expecting another £6 for a small order.1 -
I’ve had payment for the £6 order too.
My parents came to see us today and brought me some belated birthday/get well gifts. It was lovely to see them. I sent them home with loads of eggs as our girls are producing more than we know what to do with.
I had an appointment with the nurse today and my blood pressure is high again. They’re going to monitor it and make a decision next month about what to do.1
