Selling our house - why aren't people viewing?

So our house has been on the market for nearly 3 weeks now, in that time it's had over 1000 views on Rightmove / Zoopla, but only 3 viewings.
a) is that normal?
b) I'd be very grateful if someone would take the time to look at the advert and let me know what they think. If you PM me I will send a link (I don't want to post a link on the open forum, as this will lead to hundreds of views, making tracking the popularity pointless).
Thanks in advance!

Tracking the amount of views is pretty pointless anyway, unless it was a really low number of views, because all that counts is actual physical views by proceedable buyers?0 -
I think it is absolutely normal to have a lot more views on zoopla or rightmove than people actually wanting viewings.
I think most people start looking on those sites when they are in the very early stages of planning to move, to get a feel for what is available in a particular area or price range, also people will be researching before putting their own property on the market, actively searching for a property but ruling out those which don't met their criteria, to make a short list, and that's before you get all the hits from people who are not looking to buy at all, but who are window shopping.
Your estate agent should be able to tell you if 3 viewings from 1000 page views is normal. My guess would be that it is, but I don't know.
However, if you want feedback on the actual property you will need to post a link, and recognise that the cost of getting a lot more feedback is that you won';t get useful information about page visits, at least for a week or two while the thread is new.
Did any of the people who viewed give any feedback? What have the agents said about hope the level of interest compares with what's normal for your area? All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
If you're getting no viewings, then there's something about the listing that's putting people off.
It might be price, it might be photos, it might be description, it might be floorplan, it might be... <insert long list> But, unless and until you post a link, nobody can make any suggestions as to what it could be or how to get it sorted.
The number of page views on RM etc is pretty much irrelevant.0 -
3 viewings in the first 3 weeks is quite low. You generally get a flurry of viewings initially which then slows down after a couple of weeks.
Speak to your estate agent about you can do to get more interest. Its what you are paying them for!0 -

It already is. What have you learnt from your tracking?
I doubt anyone will bother PMing you for a link so if you want advice/opinions on what might potentially be stopping buyers from viewing your house, you will need to bite the bullet and post the link.
Otherwise, I think this thread will end very quickly.0 -
I'm nosey so always looking at right move/zoopla for whats about in the area whether I am involved in a move or not. I know many others who are the same.0
-
RM/Zoopla views are worthless statistic. There are plenty ow "window shoppers" out there who have alerts for new listings in the area and what not with no intention of buying whatsoever.
If you want advice on the listing itself, post a link here and brace for comments good and bad.0 -
Absolutely agree that many of the people looking on line will be window-shopping. Whether it be:
- checking we've got the best place we could manage for our money
OR
- wondering if we could get enough for our current place to move to a place we would prefer.
It's probably rather a low number of online "looks" that firmly intend to sell anything they currently have & buy someplace else.0 -
Thanks for the replies so far.
Ok, I concur, I will have to post the link in order to receive feedback, good or bad
Here you go... [Link Removed]
Thanks in advance0 -

How many people does the agent have on their books, that are looking for a property like this? Much better indication. Buyers are unlikely to materialise from nowhere.0
