    Really sorry to hear that.

I enjoyed reading his posts and admired how honestly he spoke of his condition.

May I add my condolences to those above

    Very sad news.

I also enjoyed PeacefulWater's contribution to the MSE forums over the years. Solid, valid views and a sensible and valued contributor to MSE who I am sure helped many.

So nice to now actually see a photo of Dave (AKA PeacefulWaters) and read a little more about him - thank you richardw for posting the link to his website and to Chris for updating it.

As it happens, Dave was a similar age to me and also a fellow Capricorn. I also share his love of travel. His condition and those various stages of cancer are sadly also very similar to what a good friend of mine is also going through at the moment, so even his words following his passing I found interesting to read and are giving comfort.

Condolences to Dave's family and friends.

    Rest in Peace - PeacefulWaters.

Please hit the Thanks button in richardw's post - lets see if we can hit a high scoring WOW for Dave (PeacefulWaters).

So sad. That link In Richard's opening post was a very brave piece of work.

  • I too was in awe of PeacefulWaters' honesty about his condition and hope that his family find comfort in the memories that they will have of him.

  • So very sad to hear this. PeacefulWaters was a genuinely nice chap; extremely polite to those in need of help; and extremely brave in the way he faced and coped with his illness. He will be missed by those who use this forum.

My sincere condolences to PeacefulWater's family and friends.
