If you google Excel and Keighley you will see link to articles that show the extent of the issue. When I read it my thoughts were similar to Beamer's. It's either a rogue employee, with or without the knowledge of management or something seriously wrong with the equipment. It does look as if tampering has been going on. Ambler does not look to be an isolated incident.

It looks as if registration numbers were not registering in the terminals even though Excel claimed that they were checked three times a day. The visitors to the gym were adamant that they had input their details correctly. One lady had £400 of charges from parking whilst using the gym. Excels reply was that they could appeal.

I have read some sites where employee's rate their employers and the employees are targeted on PCN's. Excel are mentioned. This could all turn into another PPI debacle. That was down to banks aggressively targeting employees and resulted in unsuitable products being sold. If employees are bringing in a lot of revenue a blind eye is often turned to the methods that they are using.

Excel's lease was not renewed on that site.

This problem is not isolated to just a couple of sites, it seems to be Nationwide.

Why has Lamilad's thread become a general discussion place? It's too important a thread to be dragged off course.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ms Ambler's incident took place at the same car park at Keighley. Numerous incidents at same gym.
