    Afternoon all :)
Been to little GD's sports day / leaving presentation at pre-school, she is a bit sad to be leaving, and apprehensive about the next stage, I think :( She will love school I am sure, but the pre-school ladies are so lovely, and it is really small, so they get lots of individual attention, and get very attached.

Really hot again here, and feeling sluggish and reluctant to do anything, so a pretty boring list :o

Checked banks and updated spreadsheet - I was pleased to see I received the refund on membership costs promised by the NT (due to changed membership category) :)
    Picked some raspberries for breakfast
Had leftovers from yesterday for lunch
Was expecting a delivery this afternoon, stepped outside the back door for a few minutes and missed it :( If he had rung the bell I would have heard it, but nobody does for some reason . Rearranged for tomorrow, but I hate being tied to the house waiting in for things!

Will make macaroni cheese for dinner, and cook some garden veg to go with it :)Done
Noticed that our bank switch has happened, so spent a bit of time registering for online banking with new bank. Hoping that payments go in and out as they should  Opened a new regular saver linked to current account.

Will need to do some watering, as usual Done, watered all the pots and the fruit tree cordons at the back of the raised bed :)

Got rid of a trough of rocker, which was going to seed before it had really grown :( I have decided not to sow any more salad crops till the weather cools down!

Picked a few handfuls of cherry tomatoes :)

And help OH, who is doing some long overdue alterations to our raised veg bed. Done, or at least got as far as we can until the soil is wet and compacted, when we will replace the boarding and posts on one section - can't do it while the soil is so dry and dusty!
Booked a night away next week at a camp site - will probably stay away for a few days, though not necessarily on the same site. But it is useful to have something reserved for the first night when driving to a new area!
  • Oh Ellie! Sounds like you've been through a wringer this week. Just be gentle on yourself.

Can you borrow a dehumidifier from someone to help with the damp?

Have had my dizziness checked - I have glue ear. At least I have a reason for feeling as rubbish as I do.
I'm doing absolutely nothing tonight but relaxing and having an early night ready for my last day at work tomorrow. Then bring on the summer!

Hope your last day goes ok CCL. I can imagine how relieved you will feel at about 4pm tomorrow!

Ellie hope you get your leak / mess sorted out - what a pain, especially as it is a new property!

Thank you for the kind words, to be fair the weather is definitely on side when it comes to the damp. You can see how much it's dried out after only 1 day so I don't think we'll need a dehumidifier as it is definitely getting better quickly. Just a bit frustrating as we are having a mini housewarming / birthday thing in a week and now everyone will likely be inspecting our stained carpets and patchy walls :rotfl: it's fine - there will be cake :j
It will all be fine, patch holes on Monday, then book time to re-paint walls, then clean carpets. I'm back to my normal full time job from Tuesday so OH is going to deal with it and take time off as needed :A:A (phew)

Ccl, spudsmum and purple thank you so much for your thoughts. It has made me really feel better about not working as much. As a fellow teacher I get a good chunk of holiday so as long as I have enough to cover bills and enjoy my time with babies, I’m going to give myself a break on the guilt front.

Waiting for a delivery, so glued to the house :(

Hope it turns up soon! In all fairness they did specify a timeframe, so was able to go out earlier this morning :)Arrived roughly when they said it would :)

    Today's list:
Washed hair and allowed to dry naturally
Ate last brown banana for breakfast
Bit of shopping, including travel sized shower gel, shampoo etc from Savers. Walked in to town, for free exercise / avoid parking charges / couldn't be bothered to get the car out :o
Took a nice skirt that I can't wear any more with me, and donated to the CS :)
Change PIN numbers on new bank cards Done, had a hiccup for some reason with OH's but he seemed to be able to get cash out of the machine ok.
Leftovers / bits from fridge for lunch / dinner
    Update spending diary and spreadsheet
Watering, not too much today hopefully!
Pick tomatoes, as there are some ready again
Pick anything else that is ready in the garden

There will be more - back to update later :)

    * Rinsed eyes with boiled>cooled salted water.
