Sorry to hear of your nan's passing tru, doesn't seem right that you find out via FB, I'd be fuming too. I think I would wait until your Dad calls, a row at this time wouldn't be a good thing.

Hope everything goes ok today TA.

What a pair nanny and Nelski!

    How's your DM Gers?

Well it rained most of yesterday and last night, the garden looks much fresher and I shouldn't have to water the allotment today thank goodness but I'll go up anyway as there was a tomato that was nearly ripe and I can't wait to eat it!

I met up with DS1 yesterday and we looked at cars, only looked properly at one and have decided to buy it, 3 years old with 3150 miles on the clock! Should get it on Thursday then DD can have hers back, she's been really good letting me use it, luckily she's near the railway station so she can get to work.

Monday again, the builders should be arriving to do some more to the back garden, better get the kettle on ready! Have a happy day, take care. XX

Tru, I'm sorry to hear about your nan's death. Facebook isn't a goid way to share this type of news, not until all family members have been informed. I know that sometimes people do post and don't realise the implications of this.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Tru, I am very sorry to hear about your Nan's death. I'm also sorry you had to learn about it from Facebook. In your position I would also be fuming but I would wait until your Dad rings you as he will be more upset to find out how it was announced. We have several attention seekers in our family who post every little thing on social media just to get likes and sympathy so I am now very selective about what they are told. Big hugs to you xxx

My nan died late last night, my cousin announced it on social media as soon as she was told – trouble is she was pretty much first to be told, so a lot of us have found out from facebook. Nan has been poorly for a while and we were just waiting for the inevitable, we also said we wouldn't ring each other in the middle of the night when it happened, we'd wait til morning. I can't let my dad know that I already know, he'll want to know how and if I tell him he'll be really upset and there will probably be a huge family row. I want to ring him now but I can't really do that, can I? I'll have to wait for him to call (it'll be early, he won't wait). What would you do? I'm bloody furious.
Tru I'm so sorry to hear about your nan. I would be angry and upset if I had heard about it through social media as well. I think I would wait for your dad to phone you. xx

Tru I would ring him, the truth will come out in the end and he might get upset that you had not told him, Im sorry about your nan xx

Another scorchio day here :jits meant to be nice all week again, off to work for me, the new building is still not open (the bloke supplying the kitchen keeps letting us down ) so we cant all settle into our new jobs yet, I think the kids break up at the end of the week so its getting urgent now !

Fresh pasta for dinner with some chicken and chorizo and I need to put a wash on tonight.

We went to see dd's house yesterday its very lovely indeed and the lady selling is leaving lots of stuff for dd, all the curtains and blinds, two wardrobes and two chest of drawers, and most of the kitchen equipment, its all really nice stuff too, dd has been really lucky.

TA hope all goes well for you today xx

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all.

My DM is slowly improving, her heart rate is stabilised at a normal rate, however she's been incredibly weakened by the weeks of tachycardia and is still mostly bed bound. Life is difficult just now. Yesterday I drove home about 4pm, almost empty roads made for a very good drive. Now I'm just about to get ready to go back down.

There was piles of post waiting in the barn so that's all sorted out now. The garden didn't need watering as the rain was pouring down all day!

Tru - condolences to you, what kind of idiot announces that kind of news on FB?

Camelot - lovely to read that your conservatory is no more.

Talking of no more...no more lying in bed for me now. I hope everyone is doing well or getting better. Happy Monday.

Thanks for the thread Holly and hugs to all those in need.
CHS is on the late shift today but forgot to alter his alarm so I've been up since 6, still it means I can do housework before it gets too hot.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning,

Hope the appointment for your husband goes well TA

Sorry about your nan Tru. I would be inclined to let your dad know sooner rather than later. Not your fault how was it announced.

I went to an event at our local park yesterday. One of the stalls were selling raffle tickets. I won a lovely hamper from the raffle. In all my years of entering competitions, I have never won a hamper. It is filled with t-bags and sweet eg jam, biscuits etc. Must be worth about £20.

Have a good day all x
