SNOOZER yes I remember your DH having problems with his and not daring to leave the house. That is exactly the same reason for Mr TA's problems. When we went to Urology a month ago for a review he had an xray done there and then and it showed that the end of the stent was dipping into the bladder. We will use a slightly shorter one next time he said!! Next time, what about now I said! So he prescribed some tablets which should help he said. They haven't despite his GP increasing the dose since. Sorry for the rant folks but I am beyond exasperation as you can no doubt tell! He has problems enough without this adding to them!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Its hot here already, weather station is showing 33.......far too hot for me. We have the curtains at the front closed and the back door open, once the sun moved round to the back it will be front door oprn on the chain, windows open back curtains drawn and back door closed. We have been eating on small table in the sitting room, its too hot to eat in the kitchen with the sun streaming in after the combi has been on.
OH has just gone out to pick raspberries before it gets too hot, will mash tea a bit later and we will drink it in the garden.
My poor Acer has suffered real damage over the last couple of days, I have moved it into the shade but I fear the worst.........The lilies are out in the front, 3 stalks brought into the house, the hall smells lovely.
Half leg of lamb roasted for supper, all the veg is from the garden, carrots, potato's, french beans and sugar snap peas. I guess raspberries will be in there somewhere too.0 -
Morning all :hello:
My you are a chatty lot this morning :j.
Well it's Sunday lunch day and Dad will be over in about an hour.. Roast chicken today with roast pots, veg, yorkshires and gravy. The veg has already been prepped and the chicken is in the oven.
Mr Fix It has been tidying up the shed this morning, but he's just come down as it's far too hot, so wile he's showering I am having a quiet coffee and a squizz on here. Shhhhhhh !
I think I'll collect his towels and work clothes in a moment and give them a wash.
I did do the freezer check yesterday and I found lots of bitsso I have made a list and I will use them up ( I have my fingers crossed ). There were quite a few bits of meat ( a few of each ) that had fallen to the bottom, BBQ pork steaks, plain pork steaks, chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks etc so they have been bagged together and we will have a meat fest at some point.
TA I'm also guilty of the jumble because if something is not on the top or easily seen, Mr Fix It won't delve down . So it's all my fault apparently. I did find two lots of 40 sausages, both opened and also 3 opened bags of oven chips, whoops ! Naughty nanbut in my defence I'm so short I can't reach the bottom if things drop down in the chest freezer :rotfl:.
I found some party food too, all unopened from my birthday in June, so I will cook a selection of those for tea while the boys watch the footie. Pudding will be the last 3 individual apple and blackberry tarts ( also from the freezer ) and custard ( no ice cream left  )
Well I'm off to put the WM on and then crack on with lunch.
Have a good Sunday everyone
Take care and hugs to allFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Another go at bailing bathwater - I had [STRIKE]help[/STRIKE] supervision this time, from my little house-guest.
I am absolutely melting; and Mr LW has said he still wants veggie toad-in-the-hole for dins, so I shall have to cook that later. *cries*
I don't know what time Benji is being collected - I told his owner just to drop me a text when she knows what time she'll be back. There's enough chicken for his tea if I need to give him his meal, so no worries there. He's been such a good little guest, I hope we have him to stay again. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Just popping back to say JackieO I read and enjoyed that too. Have you read r the Madaddam trilogy?I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

Afternoon all,
A day of rest we promised ourselves but went food shopping instead. I am trying to use bits up out of the freezer until we go away but still ended up spending too much..... largely Grumps fault though as he was chucking stuff in right left and centre.I need to make a doctors appointment for myself as my legs are full of fluid (and chocolate ) and it is painful so hopefully some water tablets will help with that.
Grump is asleep or resting his eyes as he calls it. I asked him not to nap during the day because he doesnt sleep at night when he sleeps in the day. He's going to get yelled at if he keeps me awake again tonight.
Onwards and forwards,

I just found DH doing the same...granted he did have an 11-hour overnight flight on Thursday + a further 4 hours travel to get home on Friday so is still playing catch-up!
I spent a good 2+ hours weeding the allotment early today - rain on Friday followed by warmth & sun again yesterday meant they were taking hold. Picked the first courgette (almost baby marrow) yesterday and another today, tomatoes are ripening nicely too. Need to harvest the early potatoes but not sure how they will keep. DH is steadily filling the freezer with fresh boiled beetroot (bleagh) so I can plan what will go into that bed over winter.
Am having a Pimms break from ironing while half watching the tennis...you wouldnt think Djokovic had such an intense 2-day match against Nadal the way he is playing.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I wish we could pull out weeds, the ground is so hard you cannot get a fork in let alone pull out any weeds.0

What I fancied for lunch today was poached salmon and new potatoes, what I ended up cooking was roast chicken, stuffing, roast potatoes peas and cabbage!
We've filled the water tank up and moved the boat, we are only a couple of hundred yards from our last mooring. It took the swans about an hour to track us down and start tapping on the boat for food.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
