If I'm PM, we get in pest control. If DH is PM, they draw lots and the loser gets to smack the hell out of the nest and run, fast. Boys will be boys.

I always get the short straw. I've done lots of these. In a loft I always cover all skin, mask, hat, and approach with my 6 foot stick, poke one big hole and spay this in (it squirts 6 feet easily), then run away as fast as possible, and try not to fall down ladder.

    half the can is enough.

Really needs doing earlier in the year of course.

Agreed about the local councils - they will generally be good value and reliable. For example

Yes, pest control will be a good choice, I have also heard about smoke, they are afraid of smoke and get calm. but for the safe and complete solution pest control is the best way.

On our building projects we have two ways of dealing.

But if women did it, just think how much money you'd save on lip filler (If that's your thing).

Local Authority pest control best and usually they come back for free if the wasps return to same location.

We had a phone call from the in laws last night. They had a wasps nest in the loft and left it, despite the racket.

Yesterday the wasps broke through the ceiling into the bedroom, attacked my father in law and "bit" him. They called an ambulance. No idea if it was needed, but that's the in-laws for you. I'm surprised my husband can tie his own laces.

I have no words. I know some people are saying leave the nest but I am petrified of the things and of the opinion that wasps are evil and need to be exterminated. Karma can come and get me later :o

That is horrific! I am allergic to bites and stings so I would have the exterminator in pronto.
