Be aware of this mob, https://www.e-visaturkey.org. they charge £69.16 per person for a normal holiday visa. Thinking this was a good site to buy our visa's I applied. Online info and friends confirm $20 for the visa that's £15.12p at today's rate. I complain the next day after finding out from my bank account and ask for a refund, they want to charge me $20 each for cancellation, bandits.

It looks ok to me. I think your issue is not having done your own research BEFORE you decided on a website to purchase a visa through.0

my research was good this link was via the UK .gov site."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

The gov site links to the official Turkey Visa Site

I can't find that link on the Gov website, do you have the page you found it on.
Did you miss this?An e-visa costs $20 and you can pay using a credit or debit card.
And this? (it was just after the link that heatherw provides above). Some unauthorised websites may charge for information about e-Visas, and for submitting applications. These websites are not endorsed by or associated with the Turkish government. Be wary of such sites and businesses, particularly those that seek additional fees for other services0 -

You've been suckered!

Always look for .gov0 -
Presumably you were happy with the price & the process or you would not have proceeded with the application/transaction. Could have got it much cheaper without that particular 'middle man' loading his charges on top, but it doesn't really justify a complaint or a refund.
Next time ask around first or consult the link Heather has given you, or even use Trip Advisor. The forums almost always have a link to the 'correct' places to purchase visas for pretty much every country that might require one.
An expensive lesson I'm afraid, but I hope you have a great time. You never know, your thread may save someone else from getting caught.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
These websites have been around for a long time for all sorts of things - some that you can get free, others much cheaper from the official website:
EHIC
Passport
ESTA applications
Driving licence
Driving test - theory and actual
Fishing licences
I'm sure there are others.
Most carry a disclaimer that you can use the offical website and some even provide a link to the 'proper' website.
I agree that the GOV.UK link takes you to the official visa website so not sure how the OP got hold of the wrong company.0 -
