If you don't mind second hand/refurbished, you could possibly pick up a Nexus 5X within that budget.
Android O 8.1 with another 9 months of prompt security updates (more if you opt for something like Lineage).
Really good camera
Reasonable CPU
The elephant in the room of course is the 'LG bootloop' issue. Make sure you get one with a warranty.
But even with that issue it's a good device for that price.
(Another plus is it's easy to take apart, but that only matters if you live with someone who likes to baptise phones and you have to dry it out)3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Hi,
I am looking for a new phone but am getting overwhelmed by the options.
I would like an Android phone with a 5 or so inch screen (maybe a little bigger), lots of memory (I am a fan of apps) and with an up to date operating system (my current phone doesn't support some apps because of its age). I am not too bothered about the camera or music player. If it has a good battery life and/or is a tough phone and/or dual sim then so much the better.
I don't want to spend a huge amount of money and I don't need an all singing and dancing phone, anyway. Just need something decent and unlocked.
Thanks for your help!0 -
Start off by looking at the Moto G60

I'd second the Moto range, btw it's storage you need for lots of apps rather than memory. More memory means the phone can leave more apps running in the background rather than starting them up again.0

Yes, definitely the new Moto G6. I got the G6 Plus (only available through Carphone Warehouse though). Great phone!0

My current phone has a normal size SIM. Would I need a new SIM for the Motorola or is it possible to get a SIM cut down?0 -
motorola takes a nano Sim. If the small nano doesnt push out to fit ?
your mobile operator will give you a new one
Cutting down the orginal SIM can be done but its easily damaged
The new Moto G6 play has a massive battery and 32Gb storage for around £150
Argos etc

Is there much difference between the G6 and the Play?0 -
