I wish we had a lake close by that we could walk around. There's a nice woodland/river walk a couple of miles away but that involves getting into the car. Living in a town is handy most of the time but sometimes I wish I lived in the country.......until I run out of milk and then the 7am to 11pm corner shop is just 50 yards away........August 2018: Secured Debt £70,003 Unsecured Debt (DMP) £34,657 Total £104,660 DFD: March 2031

We do have a couple of nice places in walking distance but some of the better ones, we do have to drive to. Lack of safe footpaths and reliable public transport around here do make needing a car necessary.
Today though we did just spend at home. I was hoping that the bits needed to fix the car would be delivered, but they didn't show. DS kept DD amused playing games while I got the house clean and tidy again :j before we all sat down to watch a film.
Had £11.50 paid in the bank from surveys so transferred it over to savings. Still haven't spent any of the holiday activity money I took out. Do have a few days out planned when the car is back on the road thoughSPC 0760 -
Car still not fixed, hopefully today. Bits got delivered yesterday but DH needed to order one more bit that he is picking up today on his way home from work. As we've not used it all week, the petrol money not spent covered the extra bit.
So, we have spent a few lazy days at home. Wouldn't say they have been boring but not the most thrilling. Mostly spent in the garden as we do have a play frame, trampoline etc so we haven't been cooped up in the house all day.
Weekly budget resets today.SPC 0760 -
Fingers crossed that your car is sorted soon x0

Thankyou so much, purplemumof2. It is fixed :j
Went out to see my parents to get out of the house, and ended up staying for dinner.
I have just booked a day out for next weekend. DD used to go to an amazing outdoor playgroup. We started when she was 11 months and we went every week until she was 4 1/2, until the lady who ran the group moved to a different forest to start the group there (about 1 1/2 hours away) We haven't seen her since, so I have just booked us all onto the family session. DS used to come with us in the school holidays and enjoyed it too. It will cost £16.50 plus petrol but will be out the whole day, really looking forward to it.
Yay, love having the car back and being able to plan stuff againSPC 0760 -
My best friend was home yesterday after being away for two long weeks, felt like a lot longer! DD came in to work with me this morning, and then we went to her house for the day. Was a lovely day, DC playing together and having fun too.
Spent on a couple bits today.
£5 of my weekly budget on some ciders for DH, as he did such a great job fixing the car. Also £20 (budgeted) on baby gifts for SiL
Payment went to SC, we now owe approximately £18,350.
Then all evening, I have been at my sisters helping her load the van and clean the house before the move tomorrow. Will be helping again tomorrow after work. Time for bed, got a sore throat from all the dust behind the furniture I think. And my back is rather achy from lugging stuff about and taking her ridiculously large wardrobe apartSPC 0760 -

Thanks for stopping by pidge, I hope you have had a nice weekend?
I have had a manic weekend helping out my sister with the move. It has taken it's toll on me. Have a very chesty cough again, I'm sure it was all the dust and bleach. I am hoping not to need to go see the doctor again. I get chest infections quite often due to scarring on my lungs from a childhood illness. Ended yesterday with a massive migraine again, I feel like I'm falling apartbut, her new home is beautiful and I was happy to help.
Also, had to fit in a 3 hour baby shower, at the pub!?! I don't really get the whole point of these, but it was fine and DD came with me and we won a box of chocolates, winning one of the games being played.
Didn't even get chance to sit down and order our shopping till this evening, so coming tomorrow, within budget. Not much left from weekly money. £10 spent on DVD, DS's favourite film. Drink each for me and DD at the pub. Leaves a few quid left in my purse.SPC 0760 -
