I contacted I.I. after I received a quote on in their website. I corrected some details (minor items under £500). Suddenly my quote went from about £200 yearly to £20.000?!! Some mistake surely I thought, so I rang and got a rude crude receptionist on the phone who said it meant my quote had been rejected because I had damaged items too close in date to each other. (!). Surely some other agenda was at work here? I found it unbelievable. By that criteria they can't have many customers.
Then I was interrogated about why this or that item got damaged, and then why I hadn't taken out travel insurance when I went away - well what's that got to do with anything?
All in all I found them RUDE CONFRONTATIONAL ABSURD and probably DISHONEST.
Additionally I also think this is unethical behaviour but whether anyone cares is another matter.0
