The Grass is always greener????

I have noticed a tendency by posters to be "envious" of someone elses location. But hey, surely the grass isn't aways greener??
Does anyone like where they live, and would you like to sell the benefits of where you live? Or should we all up sticks and move some where warm???

I think the obvious thing would be to set up a form of wannabe-swap where we all have to put up with eack other's locations, budgets, jobs and families for a week or so. That'd shake us out of it

Of course the grass is always greener over there. They have nicer felt-pens to colour their grass in with (I actually said this the first time I heard it from a teacher. I was about seven. I have never lived it down with my mother)0 -
Silvercharming, how ...well...charming.....:rotfl: Did you coulour the clouds white or leave them the colour of the paper? i recall a child getting extra credit for colouring the whole page, albeit, white.
Perhaps a virtual house/wife. hubby swap then ??? Sounds a bit dodgyunsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

I like where I am. In fact, generally, I really like my life. It has it's hassles and ups and downs, and definitely some low times, but I wouldn't change anything."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Clouds are white, but the outline is drawn in blue. The sky is a blue line along the top of the page with a big yellow sun. Honestly, didn't they teach you anything in school?!
Virtual wife swapping... I hear that there are some specialist websites for that kind of thing. I'm pretty sure someone told me about them in some :spam: the other day!!!!0 -
I agree snaggles. Life is what you make of it. I find my life hysterically funny and have learnt that being a one-woman soap opera means that you are never, ever bored. I've got a fantastic fella, a dimwitted cat and a sofa that's older than me. Add a bottle of wine or two to that equation and I've got everything I need right here.0

Aww Snaggles, that is so nice, not enough of that "being happy" going on. Well done you. Have thought about moving to Yorkshire myself. Is your grass greener than mine though??

Just what I was getting at on the "lottery win" thread which led me to post this one. How expensive is a happy life really???

I love where I live to be honest, but I know as a young person there isn't much future here for me housing and career wise. In an ideal world though I'd stay here forever and be perfectly happy.:heartpuls

I wouldn't swap my life. I'd like to be better with the money we have but I am getting better. A classic case of grass is greener....I was envious of a friend who had a big car, several foreign holidays a year, latest electronics etc etc. Sadly they've found out her husband is very ill. He can no longer work and she was telling me they can't pay the massive credit card bills. Just shows you don't really know what's going on in someone elses life xxJanuary budget
