I was out until gone 2pm am I too late to place a bet.
I think I may put my money on it being a late payment this week, my thinking being if your hubby's wages don't come through on time when his boss is here what chance is there when he's away
I'd be happy to lose this bet for the cause though :rotfl:

Well if you were a betting woman tea, you'd be quids in because my husband's wages are are in fact not in! Well knock me down with a feather...
A couple of years ago this scenario would be been disastrous (and it was regularly) so I'm glad that we can more Or less manage now.

Those figures look big ones HG but you're on top of it all once again :T By my calculations you only need to find £555 between now and June and I've no doubt you'll have cracked it well before then.
We went to Disney Paris when DD was 3 1/2 and had a fantastic time. Me and hubby aren't really theme park type of people but my sis persuaded us we'd love it and we did. Seeing it all through DD's eyes was brilliant. If we hadn't gone on any other rides we'd have had our monies worth out of Casey Jones train, the shows and meeting the characters. xx0 -
Yes, hopefully we can keep the momentum up and get to our goal asap so we can build up whatever is left into an emergency fund. And of course the holiday savings will be there in the mean time in case of emergency.
Will also need to factor in the cost of these windows if they go ahead because we will probably ease up on the savings and throw a lot more at the windows to get rid of that asap.
I'm really hoping to go into 2020 with as little debt as possible.
I'm so looking forward to Disney, mainly because we are planning on going on my youngest's birthday. Considering booking a character breakfast or something since it's a special day but will have to look into that. I haven't been to DLP for 13 years so it's nice to be going with my own kids.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

What a treat going on your youngest's birthday. We stayed in the castle and did a character breakfast and it was lovely. Plenty of time to meet and greet the characters and take photos. Sister organised something to do with the tickets as well where you could go to the front of the queue. Not sure how much more that was but with little ones it might be worth looking into. Although you've probably got all that organised.
You'll have a brilliant time. xx

An extra £8.78 paid to the CC tonight - Vodafone refunded me some of the final bill for my MIL's phone bill that we cancelled in January.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

You've got that right!
I get so irritated about it, i end up checking throughout the day and the more i check and it's not there, the more annoyed I get. It'll turn up, i've no concerns about that, it's just highly irritating that it's such a regular occurrence. His work colleague is getting married in 5 weeks and I bet he's got a lot to pay for right now and late wages won't be helping!
On the positive side, because of when the cut off for the wages falls, i forgot that the work he's doing this week is paid in next week's wages (I thought this week's wages would be the last of the overtime wages), but we can expect an extra £310 next week :j Another bit of loot for the savings account. :jSealed Pot Challenge 075

It is great that you and your husband are so on the same page when it comes to finances/savings. I feel that it is a constant battle between dh and I. We are always pulling in the opposite direction. It means there is always a lot of resentment when it comes to where money has been spent
I wish we could get the point you two are at.
