Can I also just add that when we went to CAB they asked a few of the questions on pip like can you wash yourself? Can you cook unaided etc and obviously I can do they said we would fail.... but they didn!!!8217;t think to ask the mental health side like can you go out alone or unaided etc which is a big fat no! I don!!!8217;t go out at all!0

Thanks for that! We are struggling. Not to mention all the debt he has with his (ex) wife which we cannot pay.0

Thanks, I!!!8217;m
Not great on the phone due to my anxiety so I will have to either ask my mum or build myself up to it0 -
Also, tomorrow, telephone for 2 PIP claim forms.

Your mum can do it for you but you must be by her side to answer so that they can speak to you at the beginning.
Don't forget to have the information they need written down then you can just give them the information by reading it out.0 -
OP you need help in two areas first with the outstanding debts and then going forward to manage on what you do receive.
As above contact step change and also post on the debt free board your SOA, people will help and come up with suggestions. They will totally understand people need internet and mobile phones.
It has been worded very badly and cruelty but I would think about looking at your phone spend. £18 a month is a lot to pay to keep an old cracked phone running. I am not suggesting you don't need it, of course you need a phone but there might be a cheaper way. If you or you husband don't go out much are you making all you indoor calls via mobile? If so it could be cheaper to use the landline, of course you still need to keep the mobile for when you do go out but a very basic/cheap SIM would allow you to do this. I don't know if it would work out cheaper but it is certainly something you could look into to check.
Good Luck0 -
All of our calls and texts are free on our mobiles. With talk talk they are redoculous amounts per minute. We both need our phones. He needs his to contact his drug worker aswell as his other medical people he has to see.
We are both due upgrades in November so we will see what deals they have to offer.0 -
You don't need to go into detail to justify yourself if you have already investigated it, its fine I am not criticising I appreciate you both need a mobile.
I suggest when the contract is up at the same looking at deals you also look at the internet providers landline deals.. As there are two of you in the house it might be cheaper to pay an add on for free landline calls as you will then both be using the same add on rather than one each on mobiles. I think my broadband provider charges about £8 per month add on for 'free' UK and mobile calls.0 -
We pay £19.95 a month atm for our internet as it was the cheapest provider at the time, but it!!!8217;s been a terrible year so we shall be looking elsewhere soon for our second year. Just don!!!8217;t know if we are going to find any other provider so cheap. As we don!!!8217;t want any packages or tv etc we just want internet lol0

If you are both due upgrades then your cheapest option would be to keep the phones you have now and go on a Sim Only plan. I pay £18 a month and get 30gb of data plus calls and texts and that isn't the cheapest. So if you got a good plan with a good amount of data you wouldn't need to have any internet for your house.
Also you should post in the debt free forum, if you havn't already, to work out a budget so you know exactly where you stand with your finances.0
