There was £65 'floating' in the budget without a category needing to be topped up in YNAB at the moment, so I've transferred it to the premium bonds account, bringing my total savings up to £6300 now. I debated making another OP off the mortgage, but thought it better to save at the moment. Once I've managed to pay the cash in my purse into the bank I should be able to add that to savings too.

Thank you HSL2 and Aspiration. Yes, I am very lucky with DS. He is not at all demanding and is a very kind-hearted little soul, I just hope I can continue to say the same through the teenage years and beyond!Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

Hello, I hope everyone had an enjoyable bank holiday weekend. Mine was uneventful other than having my first covid vaccination for which I am grateful not having had any major side effects so far.
A couple of ebay items sold over the weekend making around £30 after fees and postage and a couple of items of OH's also sold, making him £23ish. I see I am now being paid by the ebay payments thing rather than via paypal, so it takes longer to receive the actual money. I won't be sending anything until it's hit my bank account.
I've sent another £50 to the savings so am up to £6420 now. It will take a hit with removals etc soon so won't be at that amount for long unfortunately.
No news on the house sale or purchase. I was expecting to hear from my buyers again soon but not heard a word which makes me a bit nervous. I'm trying not to stress over it though, what will be will be. I have emailed my solicitor this morning to ask for an update but they are rarely the quickest at responding. I am feeling a bitat the limbo I'm currently stuck in though, not knowing if I should continue to pack and to sell the larger items we can't take with us or if I should hold off on it all in case things fall through again. Nothing feels very 'decided' at the moment.

Thanks Chrystal, still plodding on here. Still in the midst of the joys of moving house
and chasing up solicitors and estate agents on a daily basis. Why they can't just do what they're supposed to do without a nudge all the time, I will never know.
We're surrounded by boxes now and I am pretty on top of the packing although need to pick up more boxes from the removals company today. I'm really glad I de-cluttered over the past few months and got rid of a lot of stuff we didn't need or DS had grown out of as it's made the job a lot easier and less to unpack when we are in our new place.
I had a quote back for the main work needed on the house and it was a lot less than I anticipated by quite a few thousand, so I was really pleased about that. It will give me a lot more breathing room in the budget and funds to get the bathroom sorted as soon as I can line someone up to do it.
