The URL for the image is https://upload1.appleuc.com/forum/month_0619/0619607867e398a61e54.jpg
appleuc.com comes back to powerapple.com, as per the watermark. All in Chinese. But putting that into Google translate, it seems to be a Chinese ex-pat-in-UK community site, or possibly just some kind of screen-scrape news aggregator portal.
However, the only place that google finds the image used is this thread.
I did that too and came up with the same. If it's an issue for people, maybe they should do homework before spending time putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with the wrong answer!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I have actually looked at some older posts and I'm guessing it has some functionality as a Chinese photobucket as older photos (of more ropey places) has the same watermark.0 -
Doozergirl is most likely correct - looks like a ceiling for the place below, given that the cables are lying on top of joists and one of them seems to be feeding something below, probably a light fitting with a cable jointed - joint covered with gaffer tape - and going off to a switch somewhere.
If this really is a fire exit and it's somewhere in England then get the local fire brigade out to check it over - someone escaping a fire runs a serious risk of either falling through into the flat below or possible electrocution if the cables melt.
Second para. amended to "somewhere in this country" (ie Britain). Doubtless the local fire brigade would respond - wherever this is in our country.0 -
Can't do it on my work computer (not sure if that was aimed at me) which is why I asked.Doozergirl wrote: »I did that too and came up with the same. The OP hasn't actually said what advice (if any) their friend wants, so not sure if this is merely a "you won't believe this photo!" thread.0

The picture shows a corner of ground floor ceiling, and it is on the middle of the first floor, so if u walk down the fire exit stairs, you can see those rubbish there, which I think the landlord should replace the ceiling with fire safe things, as you can't easily stop those tanents.0

OP - what did your local fire station say when you showed them this?Gather ye rosebuds while ye may0
