Since yesterday when I started an account with microsoft, when i start up my laptop (W10) I have to sign in which I don't want.
Googled and saw go to settings, type innetplwiz and untick the sign in box, but cannot find that route, Can anyone make it simpler please?

First reply, you'll need to input your Windows password to confirm.0 -
You cant auto log in with a microsoft account unfortunately ..
I hate the idea of using a microsoft account anyway and would highly advise using a local account instead0 -
OP, what I would advise is to keep your Microsoft account as it is as an Admin account and create a 2nd local account. Once you logged in to the local account from the lock screen it should bypass the lock screen from then on and log you straight in automatically.0

Are we talking about the Windows log in screen or something else? You can certainly do it with Windows as I've just double checked in case they'd changed it with a recent update.0 -

So do I now, I'm thinking , is it worth it for a ruddy calendar. Equally how easy it it to delete a microsoft account?, how would I be affected?.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have closed my microsoft account, they say there are 60 days to recover it if needed. Going to reboot now to see what happens.

Well, there is good news and there is bad news.
The good is that I'm still here.
The bad is that I still had to sign in.
