I used a formal notice to my entire chain and so have Miller Homes. I’ve been reading up about what I can do legally which is not a lot and I can’t obtain my buyers number as the estate agent won’t give me this and the solicitor can’t provide it. I’ve even given my number and asked them to contact me. I’m not sure what else I can do?0

What is your estate agent doing about this? Their commission is at risk too, if the chain falls through then they get nothing. They should be pushing your buyer to get some answers they can pass on. If they're not then perhaps it's time to start making noises about how you'll just stay put and take the house off the market if the chain falls through. If their commission is going to evaporate and they know you won't try for a second sale with them then it might get them to put a bit of effort in to getting some kind of response from the buyer."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Not Miller homes, but a different developer, when they threatened this with dates, my solicitor said that it would be impossible to complete in their timescale, and the only option to meet it would be for the developer to pay for a bridging loan.
So the developer paid for the bridging loan and we bought on time, our solicitor unfortunately overestimated the bridging loan cost so the excess paid our whole solicitors bill apart from £200!!

They aren't great at all, its definitely a great idea though, I will try and get back in contact with them again - thank you!0 -

I wouldn't get too excited as I don't see developers paying bridging loan costs as a matter of course. Also I don't see how that would help here. Until you exchange on your sale it will not be safe to exchange on the purchase so unless I'm missing something how would a bridging loan help here?0 -
I agree, OP is living in cloud cuckoo land if they think a developer will take out a bridging loan at all let alone when there's no guarantee of exchange. . As said they need to give an ultimatum to their buyers via the EA.0

Yes absolutely which is why I’m sure you can understand I’ve resorted to coming onto here. My solicitors have chased my buyers solicitors 5+ times to try and get some answers. My partner and I have done everything we can think of. I suppose we’ll have to keep preying
Then it's time for you to threaten via the EA. As a vendor I've normally found FTB's in the chain to be the ones chasing, i.e. impatient. Not understanding the process that's going on higher up. Silence suggests either a problem or an intentional effort to delay. Are the FTB's in rented accomodation?0 -
The contract did say we needed to complete in May, (bearing in mind that left only 4 weeks to exchange with a chain.)However, I have been ready since May just awaiting final things to come together.and actually lost their new house0

Do the buyer's details not appear on the Particular of Sale? Or is is Memo of Sale?
