The airbag needs to be removed, an airbag that is switched off can stil work.0 -
A phone thrown through the air wouldn't be too much of a problem.GothicStirling wrote: »Having been in a 60mph car crash myself, the airbags detonating and your phone being thrown through the air is going to be the last thing on your mind.
A phone that is being held in front of your face and getting pushed into your mouth, nose or eyes at a very high speed however could well present far more of a hazard.0 -

I have been in a car crash where I T boned another vehicle. I was doing around 50 at the time and braking hard. The first thing that went through my mind was "Bollox, this isn't survivable". Then I watched the airbag slowly emerging from the steering and thought "Airbag. I might have a chance."
What went through your mind?0 -

Don't sit in the passenger seat with your feet up on the dashboard as I saw loads doing going on holiday on Friday night. Most cars now have a passenger airbag in the dashboard. Airbag goes off and at best the force dislocates your hips/knees or breaks your legs, at worst it forces your knees towards your head, your knee smacks you in the nose and shoves it into your brain and kills you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I didn't say they weren't, I'm questioning why a parent would give a baby/toddler a smartphone to play with in the first place, smacks of the "plonk in front of the glowing box" school of parenting rather than giving kids books or other such learning resourcesSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

It keeps them quiet, although if you put them in the boot they're much harder to hear and don't make a mess on the upholstery.I'm questioning why a parent would give a baby/toddler a smartphone to play with in the first place,0
