New car bad build quality reject?

I bought a new car on pcp (first ever new car)
Model jaguar F pace
Original price 50k
Problem: the interior plastics trims are low quality

Details:
Plastic in high wear areas such as door sills and others areas near the floor and doors are easily scratched with standard use day to day use. Ive had the car for 2 months and the rear interior plastic looks worse than any other car ive had even though Ive always bought used in the past.

Can I reject the car more than 2 months in?

I think this is just standard. I!!!8217;m not a fancy car person, I!!!8217;ve had second hand micra ever since passing my test. Went to test drive a brand new micra and the interior was no different to my 14 year old one!

Before you all shout !!!8216;yeah but... it!!!8217;s a micra!!!!8217; My other half is much more into cars and even his most fancy techy electric car which supposedly is fine tuned to remove noise etc etc (and much more spendy than the micra I looked at) still has !!!8216;ropey!!!8217; parts inside, mainly the interior light and the interior door handles to name a few off the top of my head.

What was the car you test drove like....surely that had the same low quality plastic trims?

The quality of any other car ive owned has been better, including ford cars.

If it was one scratch, it would have been fine, but standing on the door sills leaves marks. This would be no problem on a X5 or even Yaris

Hi Breezecomm, have you spoken to the dealer that you get it from with regards to these issues or Jaguar UK customer services? You could try to reject the car from the dealer that you got it from and see what they say or do.

Don't stand on the door sills.

Just because certain aspects of the car doesn't meet your expectations doesn't necessarily mean they are not of a satisfactory quality.

Why do you stand on the door sills, don’t think I have ever stood on door sills in 40 years of driving

Indeed. You shouldn't stand on door sills, it will scratch them.
