Ivrytwr3, as with K3lvc I feel you are demeaning what we went through.
I am sure if you had been there you would not be so flippant.0 -
Also Ivrytwr3 have you not heard of PTSD, which I am not claiming to have just to make myself clear.0

jpsartre the talk from the fire chief was as i said 'Sorry you are all out here in this heat, we are trying to get this sorted as quickly as possible', I do not consider that a briefing. No explanation or reassurance for the situation was given.
Maybe because it wasn't exactly clear to them what the problem was either? Given the circumstances it sounds to me like staff did a decent job.0 -
.......
I am not asking 'how much' just 'do we have a claim', the amount is not important.
.........
If the amount is not important then why waste everyone's time asking about pursuing a claim. Surely you have more important things to be getting on with in your life.
Getting back to your question - no you don't.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
jpsartre, maybe they did not know what had/was happening.
However having worked in customer service myself in various roles for nearly 30 years I feel there lack of communication (even if it was 'were sorry we don't know what is/has happened, but we intend to do xyz to help you and we will keep you informed) That would have been a vast improvement to what didn't happen.
If I in my role as a customer first point of contact for the NHS were to treat our patients with such a lack of respect and so callously for what was clearly a traumatic experience I would expect to face repercussions from my management.0 -
Well it seems there is a consensus.
Thank you all for your comments.
I hope should any of you ever suffer a trauma and feel let down by those in control that you get more understanding and help from those you reach out to than I have been offered here.
I will end this post now.
Thank you once again.0 -
TFFT........
Where's there's blame there's a claim.
Or should that be lame....If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
So cut to the chase - what price do you put on your 'trauma' ?
No free Marcela cruise for next year if that is what the OP had been thinking.
An interesting dinner party story, that!!!8217;s probably all....
Compo culture. What happened to the stiff British resilience, Keep Calm and Carry On attitude.0 -
Did the airport do something amiss? Apparently yes as their building started to fall down. Did this harm anyone? You feel it harmed you via traumatic panic. You could always try a nwnf lawyer who would advise you as to whether you had a case and if they were happy to pursue it for you. I have no idea what their advice would be.0

it does sound like it would have been scary especially with your anxiety

am I unsure why financial compensation will make it all better. Sounds instead like a good story to tell at dinner...(I have a few of those from air travel!)0
