Just because it's legal doesn't always mean that it is safe.

Someone could legally drive a car in England if their blood alcohol limit was 79mg per 100ml of blood but this wouldn't mean that every driver who had this amount of alcohol in their system was safe to drive.

However , most accidents are caused by sober drivers

    Most drivers are probably sober?

I wonder what the stats for drunk drivers to accidents compared to the percentage of sober drivers to accidents is for a bit of consistency?
  • Any tinting done should be declared to insurance company. .
    Very true.

    I declared mine recently ... £1.12 extra.

    Nice surprise :)

I did see it somewhere, and I'm not for 1 minute advocating drinking and driving or using a handheld device whilst driving, but the stats prove the stats wrong :rotfl:
back on topic extra front window tints look chavtastic.

    I don't know about chavtastic.

Perhaps it depends on the area but from personal experience all those i see who drive with front side tints and certainly front windscreen tints all do look the same ... but they're not chavs.

I'll not say too much as i don't want to be accused of anything i'm not. You'll see a lot of them in Merc's though :)

There may not be much info in the UK, but there's a thing called the World-Wide Web ....

Oh, I never ever use the internet. For religious reasons...

Yes of course there is information from other parts of the world, but I'm not going to drive to 'straya to get my windows tinted am I? I asked a question on a UK based forum (that's one of those 'web' forums, perhaps you've heard of them?) in what I thought was a relative thread as part of my initial research into the topic - specifically products and/or providers, not the concept of Ultraviolet light in general.

Since apparently its not something many people here have any specific knowledge of, obviously I'll have to continue my search elsewhere.

Well done for getting a response out of me though, I rate you 5/7
