Did you read the part where I was overseas for nearly 10 years and I don’t have a job.... hence I’m looking for credit, that is not necessary a credit card for the two reasons listed.0 -

If you don't need money, don't borrow it unless you just want to build up your credit file in which case get a credit card, spend a small amount a month (a weekly shop) and pay it off in full.
You get your credit file built up for free!
