You're still missing the point
A loan, or a finance agreement such as this, is not the way to build credit history0 -

No I’m not missing the point, because no one is explaining why a credit card is so much better than any this ofther form of credit. Sorry that people are mocking me and thinking I’m a troll, I have asked to speak to someone face to face, because I really don’t understand it all. I was also willing to pay.
It’s annoying as I’ve rented for 15 years, yet that’s not seen in a good light. I’ve got a big deposit as well as savings, yet I’m having to struggle getting a credit card, which would be paid of in full monthly, so it’s basically a debit card.0 -
It's not basically Debit Card...
You get all the perks and protections with it that you don't with a Debit Card
Plus you build a credit history, which you don't with a Debit Card
You pay it in full to show your commitment to making the payments in full and on time etc.0 -

Ok you misunderstand. I meant I will be paying it if in full with cash... therefore it’s like a credit card.
As my credit limit is low, what perks would I really have. £60 cashback.,..0 -
I thought the whole point of this thread was how o build a credit history, You don't do that with a debit card.
Its interest free if you pay it in full when you get your statement, A loan is not.
You say you don't need credit as you have enough cash so why would you want to pay interest?0
