Spent €14 when I went to drop off OH's tv for repair( not sure that's worthwhile, but he insists). Found nice fruit/veg shop so got peppers, eggs, tarragon (doesn't thrive well for me in garden), apples and potatoes. Pleased enough really as no need to think about spuds or eggs for rest of month.

Back from the Asda run and managed to spend £37.92 - how? I'm not sure!
I went with a list and only bought what was on the list.....Hmmm things are just too expensive!
Anyway, bought food, toiletries, cleaning stuff and dog food so should be Ok for at least a week - hoping to not shop again until 18/19th of the month.
Running total - £51.41 (£48.59 to go!)
Good luck to everyone else0 -
Should only need to spend £20 or so this weekend as OH is away so I'm off to Mum & Dads for the weekend (will switch the heating off for two whole days too!) and we have a four day week next week before we go to Wales for a long weekend, then a four day week the following week too! :j0

Oh B*gger!
I've just found out we are "entertaining" a week on Saturday   ......no meal plan, no meal, no budget!......this could be interesting, I wonder if they'd like HM soup and a sandwich?.
Still, I s'pose it all adds to the fun?
Just got back from supermarket (went to Sainsbury's 'cos I prefer some of their stuff to Mr T's) - spent £25.77 which should cover us 'til next Friday apart from a small amount of fresh fruit.
Right, I'm off to find the "wine and dine 4 people in style for £1.00" thread :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Thats the first week of my first grocery challenge up and i spent £50. Though this is just on food, does everyone else include their household stuff in the budget?? Spent a small fortune on stuff for the house today!! Although it all non-perishable, i would have bought it anyway and it was mega cheap. Got 120 Finish Quantum washing tabs for £8.70!The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

evening all
Gunsand banjos, I count my toiletries n cleaning stuff in the budget too, not sure if everyone else does though
Nipped to supermarket with hubby and got a HUGE swede... so thats 2.99euros/£2.25.. but it does weigh 3kilo :T ... so thats the only extra out of this months budget - so we are up to £4.20 spent so far
Out of a different budget though we got a bargain for hubby.. a crate of 20 X 0.5lt bottles of Paderborner beer (hubbies fave) for what works out at roughly £3.80 a crate  ..so we got 4 :rotfl: ..and we are planning on bringing plenty of it back to the UK with us for xmas, new year
So im happy with the spends sooo far...just have to keep focused;)-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Thanks MRSMCAWBER will add them up separately i think then see what the total is at the end of the month. Should probably keep everything separate for the first couple of months at least to see exactly where everything is goingThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Went Christmas shopping with my mum today (have to be organised - we have a christmas account as both DS & DD were born on Xmas eve - 3 yrs apart so double the expense!) Spent £3.00 on a coffee in Cafe Nero but survived on a packet of crisps for lunch. Got a bargain though, 2 calendars should have been buy one get one half price but ended up getting a BOGOF!
Hubby doing his bit by not buying a paper every day and has saved £4.50 in two weeks. He is also driving conservatively to work (90 mile round trip) due to price of diesel!!! It's quite addictive this money saving business!:rotfl:Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
