I am so glad that you are back home but please make sure you do not try to do too much (or anything that puts strain on areas that need to heal).

Yesterday was so hot I found it really difficult to sleep even with the bedroom window open so I have been having a lazy day and pottering around in a dressing gown. The front garden has been weeded and the side hedge has been trimmed as the gardening lady has popped round so things are looking better.

Dishwasher has been on and a couple of loads of clean laundry will get sorted out before I cook a gammon steak with an egg for a light meal tonight. Diet drinks are in the fridge and I want to start using up items in the two small freezers so I can get them defrosted and cleaned out properly. I also want to see what is in the freezer and use that rather than just go to the local shop as a knee jerk reaction.

You and your families sound lovely and it is such a pity family are being awkward.

I am so glad that you got the prescriptions sorted out and that you have some recipes that you feel will be a help.

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon all,

    Your holiday sounds idyllic RR.
Snoozer so glad your DDil got the job. to the sleazebag boss.
Dumpling sorry to hear your sister didnt let you know she was coming.Hugs

Another appointment at the vets this morning for Ly1a to try and sort her out.The test came back from the lab and she has a different infection in each ear,and the watery eyes may be connected too.So a change of meds again, another visit next week. One of the bacteria is quite resistant to antibiotics apparently. He did say they were improving though.

The To Let sign has gone up next door :(,hope we get somebody as decent as our lovely young previous neighbours. The landlady's parents have just been here tidying the front garden so I made them a drink and had a chat.Apparently no one is interested yet, and the cellar is still damp.Mum said she wished there was a window like we have. There was but its been blocked up and filled in so there isn't any air getting to it apart from a little vent.

Bit cooler today so cottage pie on the menu tonight.Having said that the sun came out while I finished painting the back fences and it was really hot then but it's clouded over again now.

    Bye for now x

Now that would have been worth seeing.:D

Vacuum has packed up. Only had it a few weeks. I think it needs taking apart. I can take things apart but useless at putting them back together.

    Evening all
Sorry for my tardiness but this is the first time I have sat down today :(.
Mr Fix It is feeling unwell, he has no idea what's wrong, but he can't seem to keep his eyes open this afternoon. In fact he's fallen asleep again ! I hope he's not coming down with something !
This morning I put his prescription in the surgery as he will run out while we are away, then went on into town to go to the bank and get Dad a card and some things to go in his hamper for Fathers Day. What do you get for someone who has everything and wants for nothing ? Anyway whatever I get will be wrong :(.
While in town we met Mr Fix It's cousin who is having trouble with her mother, tried to tell her she wasn't alone in that, but I couldn't get a word in edgeways :rotfl:.
Came home via the 'van because I haven't been able to find a pair of Mr Fix It's holiday trousers. ( I had looked everywhere in the house ). Found then in a locker . Put them and two loads in the WM and hung them out. Then mowed all the lawns, well after a fashion ( my wrist is still playing me up :( ) and made 3 more rhubarb crumbles for Dad. Emptied the DW, brought in the bins (but they haven't emptied the food caddy again, so will have to email them, again  ). I also cleaned the bathroom then cooked the tea, which was a hot dog baguette, as neither of us wanted too much. Anyway I have knocked a few jobs off my list, trouble is I've put more on .
NewRoadAhead enjoy your time in Mexico
BTDT It's best to get things checked out. I hope it comes to nothing. I had a mammogram and there was an anomaly, had a biopsy and it turned out to be a cluster of cells ( most people have them spread out, but not me :() but it was scary at the time.
TA glad you got things sorted out at last. It seems that sort of thing is becoming more and more frequent.:(
    RedRuby welcome back
SilverOldie I'm sorry that you are still feeling unwell. Sending healing vibes your way.
Gers fab bench. I showed Mr Fix It and he's jealous of the wood :o.
Judi I'm not surprised that you have high blood pressure with all the things you have to juggle
Snoozer well done to your DD on the new job
RosyRed hope that Ly1a ears get sorted.
Cranky get well soon. I hope the house troll looking after you.

Nelski :j:j Did you think I could forget you ? Never my friend :A. I'm glad you are back home but take things easy, I'm sure that washing can wait a while ! Now you're bionic will you set the alarms off in the metal detectors :rotfl:. Just had a thought of Hoppity from the TV series. I hope you will be better behaved than him though :D. Lots of love and healing vibes winging your way :A.

Floss, apparently he is well known for his handsy tendencies. Considering it's a law firm you would think they would be more careful about things like that but the firms she has worked for seem to have a very cavalier attitude to employment rights.

Oh dear, I'm in the dog house. Grump is not happy I've broken yet another vacuum. Glad he's in Wales and not at home. I've got that yet to come.

    Sleep well all.
