    Morning everyone,

Welcome home RR glad you had a good holiday.
Much cloudier here today after a very warm day yesterday, the washing dried so quickly on the line I managed to get four loads done and the basket cleared. I also made my bread, instead of using all country grain flour I did half that with half wholemeal and have to say am pleased with the result, just had a slice toasted with scrambled egg.

Get well wishes to all poorlies, please make that docs appointment BTDT.

Am off now to have a look at Gers bench, have a good day folks x

    Morning all,

NRA Glad you seem to be making the most of your trip to Mexico.

Nelski i hope your recovering well.

Gers i love the tree seat.

    Redruby Welcome back.

I'm ok. Back to daily blood pressure readings for a couple of days at my surgerys' request. First reading taken and the systolic reading is a little high. Hope it comes down during the day. Early morning readings are normally higher my GP told me so im not unduly worried.

A good house clean after the weekend is needed. I looked after Diva yesterday so couldnt do much.

Had a message from Youngest this morning after he had got to work....

Oh how i laughed.... Laugh turned into a :o when i found it half way down the road squashed flat and a few school kids thought it was hilarious when i went to pick it up.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Dentist visit yesterday went well and I got a new prescription for the toothpaste that doesn't make my mouth feel as if it's on fire. Using normal paste is incredibly painful for me.

DDiL had a job interview at 7.30am this morning. The reason for the anti-social time is that her toxic boss wouldn't let her take half a days holiday for an appointment. Fingers crossed that everything goes well, hopefully it will because they headhunted her.

I have to go into Skipton by bus this afternoon to pick up an order from M & S so will have a bit of a mooch around the shops. It looks like another beautiful day but I'm sorry the weather will turn on Thursday because DD and husband are coming up for a short break.

    Good morning all

Thank you for starting us off BTDT.

Still not feeling well, sent an email to environmental health.

Dumpling, hope you are feeling better today. I know how much it hurts when family treat you this way. With me it's DS and DiL. I know they are often two minutes away, with our DGS, but never call. I have stopped looking at Facebook, last Christmas DiL called us the p*xy inlaws.
Have thought of moving as I find it so hard, think in an odd way I could cope if we moved miles away, I could then tell myself we don't see DGS because of the distance.

GERS, what a beautiful seat. If it were mine I would have problems doing any work, those views are beautiful.

Hope you all have a good day

    Good morning everyone :hello:

It's another beautiful day here but so warm last night it was uncomfortable. We are due some rain in a few days time so that will actually be nice for a change.

I've just been on the phone trying to sort out an issue with my prescription. I went to fill up my tablet box last night and Steve said that he hadn't been given my tablets from Boots only the syringes from the fridge. Cue panic as I didn't have any left at all and I haven't been too well anyway. I rang Boots and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing the manager rang me just now to say they had found the items and he would put £5 on my boots card for my inconvenience. I just need to organize someone to pick them up for me now and I will be all set.

I am going to make a chilli in a minute for dinner tonight as my friend is coming over soon and I won't have the energy to make it after she has gone.

I am sorry so many of you have the same problems with family members that I do, hugs to all of you xx You all seem like perfectly lovely people but I know that family dynamics are often difficult. I am going to try not to let it get to me and just concentrate on my lovely Steve, girls and grandchildren plus my fabulous friends of course.

snoozer, fingers crossed for your DiL's interview. I am another one who hates the strongly flavoured toothpaste. My dentist prescribes me an extra fluoride one which is quite mild.
Judi, I proper laughed about the coffee cup. At least it wasn't his phone or wallet x
btdt, I hope your appointment goes ok and you get some reassurance from it x
TA, I am glad your prescription got sorted but I know how frustrating it is when it all goes pear shaped. Hope MrTA likes his fortisip drinks x

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Morning all, where’s the sun, it’s not down here!

Been to gym, swim and dropped DH at allotments, as need car to go to cinema later to see The Book Club.

Dinner will be chicken with home grown tarragon, and whatever comes off the allotment!

thinking of those having a tough time, so sad with family division, we had a long estrangement from inlaws at one point.

I am much improved now, have had a short sleep.

    Gers, that's lovely.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Just been printing off a mountain of recipes using the Fortisip Compact Mr TA has been prescribed. Some good ideas that I hadn't thought of amongst them. There were loads more he wouldn't be able to digest so no point printing those off. When he was on the Fresubin drinks 3 years ago he didn't have the digestive problem he has now so a lot of the things I made then would be no good this time round. I am determined to halt the weight loss if I have to force feed him!

    Morning *hobbles in and waves*

Missed you all and thanks to those of you who sent kind thoughts :A Just catching up now I am back in wifi mode :)

Well the wanderer has returned and I am now fully bionic :D Hospital stay was good I had a mahoosive single room with a big telly on the wall and an ensuite more like a hotel than a hospital. Op went well and I was on my feet on the Saturday and independent by the Sunday. I did nag a lot to be discharged which they did yesterday afternoon. Last night was pretty rough without the mega painkillers they dish out on the ward and hardly any sleep either but for day 1 out all is good.

So cant really do a lot in the house of course as not allowed to bend down or twist so seems a good enough excuse to stay put and binge watch something on tv do need to do a wash at some point but I can slowly manage that with the help of a grabber :)

RR that memory of your lunch sounded like heaven
Holly thanks for passing on hospital news for me
TAglad you finally got Mr TAs prescription what a palavar
GersLoving your garden its so peaceful :)
BTD good luck at the docs
