This is the problem I have with these 'courses'.
The Op has learned nothing but looking for a way to avoid the 3 points.

Accept the points, you most likely will not be offered the course second time round.

He’s not eligible for one so there’s no most likely about it.

Yep - is there any chance of a harsher penalty?

Sadly not. Speeding is a cheap way of ignoring the rules with relatively minor punishment.

A friend of a friend got caught doing 117mph. He got let off with a £1,000 fine (and some hefty solicitors fees), but for someone who always speeds and earns (I'm guessing) upwards of £300k per year, it was no punishment.

How you getting on with the old boys on the community speed watch? I bet your mate loves that.

Ok. You win. You've bullied me off this forum.

My opinions and thoughts clearly aren't welcome here. The mods don't care about the bullying, and others (like AdrianC) just join in. These forums are poisonous.

Well, I have personally no idea what you're talking about, but bullies only win if one side gives up which is what you are saying.

On the other hand if I disagree with people I will say so, and in most cases why.

There is a lot of crap talked on forums in general - don't let AdrianC talk about electric cars or Cardew about demand side PV for example, but you just have to go with the flow a bit, stand your ground and learn who is worth listening to.

I was going to say that what happens now is you get thrown into the bowels of Hell, where you get to watch nuns with baskets of kittens and frolicking preschoolers being flattened by steamrollers for all eternity.

But I'm now worried that might be seen by some as making fun of certain attitudes to speeding, so I won't.

Yes, if you opt to go to court.

Better still, don't reply naming the driver. That will see 6 points and a higher fine.
