Stupid me!! Had a penalty notice land on my door step - I was doing 52 on a 40 road. Yes I remember the day I was rushing to get to work and an interview - no one excuses I know!!

The thing is I was caught last October and did a SAC in November. What are the rules? And what consequences are there? Will I be offered a SAC or have they got the right to be more tougher this time round?

Sobs......

You won't be offered an SAC within 3 years of the last one. It's a fixed penalty, £100 and 3 points.

Are you thinking that if this 2nd one is from another Force then they might not know about the 1st SAC?

AFAIK there is now a national database, with only one or two forces not participating. (Possibly Dorset?)

That's what I was thinking too, hence my question. :)

You could try for a time - out. but you have to be prepared to go to court if you lose the time-out gambit.

I doubt time-outs can be achieved anymore but back in the day I successfully had about 3 or 4 time outs.... essentially every NIP I ever got.
