County Court Claim Form from UKPC

Hi Le_Kirk
I'm not sure what a DQ is. Can you clarify that to me please? Back in June when this was all going on UKPC sent their generic Particulars of Claim that everyone receives. The defence was sent off with help from the forum and we had received a letter saying that the defence was received and then... Nothing until now. Random letter from SCS saying 'here's our evidence for the court hearing on the 26th March'. I also can't check MCOL without the pack password which we cannot find (unless there is another way?). Thanks for your reply Le_Kirk!0 -
Post 2, newbies thread, tells you what a DQ is, and you MUSt read this thread to plan and know ewhere you are at each stage
How have you managed to NOT know which court this is to be heard at?
Your only option is to call the CCBC, TODAY, BEFORE 4 as you will only have usually 1 more day to send the COURT OF HEARING *and* the claimant your witness statement.0 -

I'm giving the 2nd post a read now, thank you.
I know what court the hearing is at. We just didn't get any letters from them regarding an actual date of hearing to even prepare for any of this. SCS letter says the hearing date.
So, instead of calling the court of hearing, we call the CCBC and say we hadn't received any of the letters? What else should be said? Sorry, inexperienced with this all.
Thanks!0 -
To answer the DQ question Le_Kirk asked, yes it was submitted back then. It was the local court we had selected. It mentioned nothing of a hearing date, however. As said, the letter sent by SCS is the only thing we've heard of an actual hearing.0

It wouldn't mention the hearing date as this cannot be arranged until you have selected a court and sent back the Directions Questionnaire. Strange you have had no letter with a date, as advised call the local court, they must know.0 -
Call the court you nominated on the DQ. Don't call the CCBC...
How do you 'know what court the hearing is at'?
That MUST be your local that you nominated on your DQ months ago, maybe you forgot as the form is very straightforward and just asks the dates you will be unavailable, etc. The Court service can't have made the local court up/imagined which one to allocate the case to, so it has to have come from you ages ago, before Christmas.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Le_Kirk - Indeed, no letter had been received about a hearing date at all. I've been trying to get through to the local court for a while now...no one seems to be answering.
Coupon-mad - I'm giving them a call now, it's been ringing for the past ten minutes. Reading their reviews online they seem to be terrible at answering. The court is the court nominated on the DQ months ago. The reason I know it's at the nominated court is because the letter sent by SCS says it's taking place there. It says 'in the court of XXX' where it says UKPC vs my brother.
Thank you both.0 -
I've been trying them the whole morning now, can't seem to get through at all. Not sure on what else to do now.0

As it is your (your brother's) local court, could you pop down there?0

Your brother might have to go in person, with the claim form and some ID, and ask for a copy of the Order about the hearing, as it never arrived.
Or phone again and again.
You do know YOU can't talk about your brother's case? You are a third party.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
