I've managed for three whole days not to snap at MrC when he snaps at me. That might seem odd but sometimes it's really hard to take that deep breath and think " it's not him, it's the b****y Parkinsons making him anxious and panicky."
I'm not a naturally patient person, but I'm slowly getting better at not responding immediately and I'm proud of that, though I've never said so in public before and aren't sure it's appropriate really.

If it makes one more person aware of the effects of Parkinson's, it's worth getting it out there.
I didn't know about it, so object achieved :) .

Have to agree with pandamonium. My late DF had Lewy Body Dementia that's closely related to Parkinsons and by golly, it was hard going at times, so well done Cappella. :A

You should be proud Capella, it must be very hard for you both.
  • I've managed to put £65 away into our wedding fund,
So now i've been able to cover the £95 deposit of the reception hall.
I have £40 left in the bank for personal spends but I have £77 in our piggy bank we can use.

I'm waiting for this pay day to put money away for emergencies.

That's great, having that deposit paid, one more thing to be less stressed about!

    Well thank you!

    Just to clarify,
We haven't actually booked anything yet but will do in October.
as my fiance wanted to wait until we had the money for at least the intial & important bits
before booking in case we couldn't make payments.

But It feels good knowing we don't have to worry about these things and know that we can afford it.

We'll have extra by October but I want to try and get enough money saved for the rings also,
then to save the remaining £380 for the reception venue (the £95 comes off the original total of £475)

    I'm super excited! :rotfl:

  • My MIL had Lewy Body dementia and YES it was VERY difficult to cope with as she peopled her world with many things and people we couldn't see and got quite aggressive when we didn't make the hallucination stop.

We have had quite a week looking after grandchildren, the 4 year old is going through much emotional angst we think as a result of knowing he's going to start school in September and his world will change but the sulking, tantrums and tears have been challenging to say the least. His mum is out on her feet because he's waking up several times during every night and the smaller one has been cutting molars too, she's who I am proud of because no matter how tired and ratty she's feeling she still manages to be kind, loving and patient with them both and working 3 very long days a week as a GP! My proud of is her actions, I hope that counts?

Of course it counts; our offspring are wonderful purely because of the brilliant parenting they had!!!
