What have you done today to make you feel proud?

Sometimes it all feels like an uphill struggle: some of us live with not so good health, others are coping with not enough time, caring for family and sometimes elderly parents, stressful jobs, relationship or housing issues and often combinations of many things, but every so often we achieve something, maybe only a small thing, that brings a smile to our face and a glow of satisfaction to our soul. Don't keep it to yourself! Smugness, boasting and downright showoffery are not only allowed but actively encouraged, I will give you a cheer and a virtual high five, ( if your nearest and dearest are anything like mine, all you will probably get from them is a roll of the eyes and a shrug!), so let's celebrate our successes!
SMUG ALERT!!!!
Yesterday I made granola, elderflower cordial and a shopping bag and I'm very proud of myself.
So, what have you done today to make you feel proud?

I've put together a round pedestal table with a glass top and enjoyed my lunch at it. That's after using a bread knife to cut down the three cardboard containers small enough to go in the bin. And swept up the cardboard debris and hoovered the carpet. As my lungs are playing up today, I feel very proud of myself!
The table's big enough to sit 4 people comfortably and 5 at a push. Not for food, necessarily, first priority is seating my friends for board and card games. Having a central pedestal and a glass top makes the table less intrusive in the wee flat I've recently moved to. Very happy!0 -
Excellent stuff, well done!!0

Culled the book case and packed all the ornaments and candlesticks prior to moving house, also been through all the kitchen drawers and had a massive sort out and decided what I will keep and what I'll donate to the Sea Scouts for their jumble sale. Phew, it's a hot old day to be pfaffing about indoors!0

That's quite a job Mrs LW, especially in the heat. I'm just north of the Isle of Wight, and it's really muggy today.0

Me too, I can see the Isle of Wight from the river front! sticky now isn't it? do you think we'll get a thunder storm? it certainly feels like it!0

I made two dozen meringues for friends coming to a bbq tomorrow night.
I reached up to the top shelf in Asda for crisps for a small lady. She asked me because I'm tall.

Nope I’m doing it also!NOT BUYING IT 2018!
Consumerism is.....buying things you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know and probably wouldn't like even if you did know them.0 -
Mrs LW, definitely feels like we may be in for a bit of thunder, hopefully not until the dogs have had their afternoon walk.
Arty, I have meringue envy! I love them but haven't had much success making them, although generally my baking isn't too bad.
Remember the Heather Small faces on a stick that Miranda and Stevie always held while singing our tune?0 -
I defrosted my freezer and make white currant jelly with loads of fruit left from last year. Red currant jelly turns out very pale pink but white currant jelly turned out bright pink much to my surprise.0
