I am having trouble installing coupon printer on my new laptop and was going to try the llink from veggiecar on the coupon thread, if that doesn't work will try your solution thanks ft. Has anyone else got windows 8? I just don't like most of it, some is good but it is so sensitive on stuff, keep moving to the end of a page and I end up on a totally different programme. Guess I will get used to it, hope so:o:o It's a lot quicker laptop but I keep going back to my old slow one as it is driving me mad:(:(
See I'm totally the opposite, loving win8. But I have had a windows phone for about 2 years so I was kinda used to the idea of some of it. Finding it a much better option than vista or 7 mind you I do find I dont use the apps on it that much, yet.
Strange that your having truble with coupon printer mine installed first time.Have you made sure windows is up to date?Maybe depends on what coupon your trying to print what version it uses!0 -
Morning all
Loving the sunshine today me and little guy have been gardening this morning. Well I have been gardening and he has been soaking everything including himself with little watering can lol. Have trimmed my cordelines (sp) get rid of the dead bits but I think this hard winter may have finished them offnot a lot of colour left to them but rest of the garden starting to take off and spuds and tommy plants lookin good
CW your window problem sounds like a nightmare if it isn't the sealant or cement joints not sure what else I could be. Hope you get it sorted soon tho
Off to sort dinner now think me and baby may have a picnic in the sunroom

Hi ft :hello:I will try it with a different coupon and see if that prints. No idea how to make sure/see if windows is up to date. Don't like the fact there is no start button amongst other things. Is there a way to make the things on the right go to the bottom like the power off, sometimes takes me a while to make that appear when want to switch off.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

The sun is shining, my washing is dry and put away and I just had a cuppa. Bliss.

As of yet no there isnt but there is talk of re-introducing the start button in a major update comming soon.It was a bit of a bold leap to change something so crucial and it appears people dont like it
did have a quick look and found this though
http://www.pcworld.com/article/2038647/how-to-create-a-windows-8-shutdown-tile.html
I find the best way to get the bit on the right up is to just hover in the lower right corner for a few seconds
windows update is hiding in the settings button on the right,go to that then click change PC settings which is at the bottom right.Windows update is then the last option that comes up on the left.
Closing apps - either grab them at the top and pull them down(if you do it right you'll get a little hand like in adobe) or if you howevr over the left it brings up the things that are open.If you middle click these they close.
To find programms easily just type start typing the name in on the start screen(not the desktop but the one with the apps on) it automatically starts a search in apps and hey presto it will appear
Theres loads of other little tricks to it. If your really lost without it have a look for a start buttoon app(I cant reccomend one becase i dont use any.I decided I was going to learn and to be honest I have found new and easier ways to do most things. But its taken a while! )0
