Afternoon all. All workmen finally gone :j:j:j
Water pipes sorted, all units in place, hubby just finishing putting doors on, then off out to look at handles as I am not sure about the ones we ordered when we ordered the kitchen. They look so different in store, so off out to see what else there is to choose from.

CW - know what you mean about the kettle always on with workmen! Had to go and buy another bag of sugar as they all have 2 spoons of sugar in every drink! A bag of sugar lasts us forever as neither of us take sugar in drinks.

Lovely day here today too, tomorrow is forecast to be good but think we have rain on Monday - typical as we are off to a BBQ.

I save up all the sachets of sugar you get from mcd's, travelodges etc so that I always have some sugar in. I bought a bag a couple of years ago and it went all hard cos it is only used the odd time for visitors or on weetabix.

Will give you all a rest and time to catch up before I continue reading back and replying :D
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Evening all. Feel tired just reading what you lot have been up to. All I have done today is go to work, and a huge pile of ironing this evening.

Hopefully later in the week, I will find some time to do some gardening. Our fence needs painting too, but will have to wait until after our hols.

CW - have you sorted your leak yet? Did the builder turn up?

The builder didn't turn up, he sent a text to say his van had broken down but then he didn't turn up on Sunday either:(. Not heard anything since so will have to phone him again.

Wish it was fixed though as want to get the walls finished. Still not got curtains as not found any I like.

Good Morning CW, late to bed as tbh (I'll be the first to start moaning;)) too hot so couldn't sleep so decided to come home to the drivel :D I think it is bed changing day today seeing as the sun is shining, nothing like fresh sheets that have dried outside. Has your damp cleared up?

My younger sis saves all those sachets of sugar as well. She takes them to work for when they get a visitor as none of the actual staff use sugar in drinks.

Unfortunately he sounds like a typical builder. Anyone would think they had loadsa work. Have you checked dunelm mills, noticed they had a large amount of different curtains and decent prices. You could go have a look instore (if you got one nr) and then maybe buy online as have seen some codes around.

I know, its lovely drying weather. Got 2 loads of washing dried yesterday. Its great to get it washed, dried and put away all in the space of a couple of hours.

The damp patch is dry now cos the sun has sorted that out. The problem is as soon as it rains again it will get wet again. :(:( Think my ds will get the hosepipe out this afternoon and see if he can pin point where its getting in:(

I was looking at their website last night and there is one fairly near us so will have a look.

The thing is I want ones I can wash and not sent to dry cleaners and most curtains you have to get dry cleaned which is to me a waste of money.

Thanks CW - had a quick look online just now and they don't seem to stock the colour we have (fence was already blue so sticking with that) but I'll keep an eye out when I go past the big one (local town only has a Metro which is so pants it doesn't even sell pants :() Am thinking of giving the shed a coat of something though (shhhh don't tell OH, he'll go mad!) Just a clear coat as I like it as is but it's starting to suffer from the weather a bit and as it's got a wired power supply I don't really want to replace it. Just nice to have a run of weather decent enough to get it done in :D

I am boring :rotfl: and go for traditional colour, brown:rotfl::rotfl:.

Blue does sound nice though but I don't think tesco have sold blue fence paint, so it does limit where you can buy it from unfortunately.

I agree about the shed, if you can preserve it, it will be much cheaper than replacing it.
