I know I need to look after myself more, but sometimes needs must for mum. So difficult with her being blind and disabled too.

However, had a lovely day today. Was on the way to Chester with OH to do some shopping and spotted on Facebook that an old friend was there for the weekend. Sent her a text asking if she wanted to meet for coffee.

Met up in M&S along with the friend she was up here with. When her friend saw me, she said I know you from somewhere. Turns out she was a mum from the playground 20 years ago when we lived in the Bristol area. Had a lovely couple of hours, didn't get much shopping done, :( but plenty of chatting. :rotfl::rotfl:

I am sure you mum appreciates everything you do for her hun.

By having a day out and meeting up with old friends you now have lots to chat about with her which she will enjoy hearing all about as well.

Morning CW and anyone else around. Miserable day here today. Now about to start on my mountain or ironing. Hate to start the working week with any left over from last week.

    Morning all

Lovely and sunny here again but ground very wet from rain overnight so won't be car boot wandering today as ground will be too soggy (big Sunday one is in a very unkept field) think I may go to homebase as they have 1/2 price bedding plants this weekend see if I can find anything nice

Jeffrey decorating is the best bit when you be new rooms so much hunting and dealin to be done I've loved doing up both our last two houses now I'm almost done I'm itching to change stuff lol. Wickes flooring is really good it has a nice thick top wood layer unlike some. Hope you have fun shopping around

PM stick with the no smoki I know it's hard I quit about 13 yrs ago as we wanted to save mega money towards a house I found having a set target really helped keep me on track. Could you maybe set yourself a goal or prize and put your "ciggie money" in a jar to buy yourself something special then everytime you get a craving you can say no I want my #### instead

Hope you all have a nice day

PM - how about putting the money away towards a deposit for somewhere out of London. Will give you focus to keep off the cigarettes.

CM - well done for keeping off smoking. So much better for your health and your purse.

Yes me and OH both quit on same day on New Year's Day (worst time to try apparently) we just decided we wanted money for a house but in those first few weeks we almost killed each other several times was really bad but funny when we now look back. We would fight over what to cook for tea so had to draw up a weekly planner/rota for stuff to avoid screaming lol :)

Well worth it now tho and when I see prices I don't think I could ever afford to restart a pack of 20 was £2.79 when I quit don't think you even get 10 now for that

PM if you want ou of London save for a holiday maybe I know it's not what you mean but it's still a way out for a week or two ;)
