Snd my dh has a very sweet tooth and loves cake, going to make him some blueberry muffins soon, wells when I get some more ingredients. I do have the worst electric oven though ESP when it comes to baking. It's his birthday in June and would like to bake him a cake.

Been listing on ebay and fed up with it knowing that hardly anything sells atm. Still must persevere and hope for the best.

Its awful weather atm too, been raining and then started with hailstones as well. Glad I stopped in today.

PM (((hugs))) I am sure your dh loves your cakes.

PM - big hugs, not sure I can offer any advise on the panic attacks without sounding really patronising but do try not to be too hard on yourself, you've achieved and managed so much in a short space of time.

Regarding cakes, start with something simple and follow the recipe to start to build up your confidence. Even something like 'Rocky Road' which doesn't require an oven - basically crushed digestives, melted choc (I use 2 x 100g bar of basic dark choc and 1/2 bar of basic milk) with golden syrup and butter as a base - then you can add mini marshmallows and mix and match with whatever else you feel like putting in - I use glace cherry halves, sultanas and cranberry with macademia halves. Basically ideas pinched from a number of recipes and the fact I like glace cherries. Everyone who's tried it loves it, even those who don't normally like choc things like that. Best of all....you don't need to use your dogdy oven :D

Have a google of some no-bake cake recipes - I know there's one for refrigerator biscuits.

I find cooking is (usually) quite therapeutic and relaxing too - gives me 'me space' :D

I haven bothered to list anything for weeks even on free weekends I agree stuff just not goin for good prices anymore I thinks it's coz of postage prices most stuff is minimum £2.20 postage now which is too much. Prices going up in April too they are making 2 diff packages prices £2.70 being the cheapest !!!! And if its bicker than 8 cm will cost even more so that me never selling the kids clothes again :( no one likely to pay £3-4 just to get 1 item sales were fab when I charged £1 p&p per item. Never mind couple more months and it will be car boot season love a good wander me.

    hi TS
not at all. my DDs do kung fu classes, we get quite involved in community events. the kids do a kung fu display
and parents run a tombola and cake stall(all homemade by me & 2 other mums) , funds raised are split between event and class.
it did get abit much last year as mainly only 3 of us organising so hopefully a few less this year
    They are gorgeous:T:T:T

Is this your line of work MT?

PM - we're often our own worst critics, I'm terrible at being able to accept a compliment graciously when one comes along, I think it's some kind of mis-wired defense mechanism.
