Morning all. Sunny here at the moment, but ground looks very wet. Wanted to do a bit more prep on veg patch, but soil looks really heavy :( and too much like hard work for today.

    Morning all

Wet and cold here again today SnD we are the same we were going to dig over veg patch today and pop some chicken pellets in the soil but everything to wet as it rained all night and still drizzling now.

PM wow late night baking sounds good hope you at some warm b4 bed lol.

No big plans for today but not going out in the cold so OH can supervise the kids while I tidy and clean all weekend.

Cooking is a lot about practice and learning your own tips / tricks. I must admit I find baking harder because it's a little more scientific IYKWIM, so I'm sometimes I a little unsure if I change X, how it will affect Y. But I'm getting there. If you want to invest in a book at all I have fallen in love with my Nigella Kitchen book (which had sat unused for ages) it's got a good range and it's written so a) it's easy to follow b) she doesn't make it sound like the world will end if you slightly tweak things to your taste as lots of her recipes are adapted from others.

Sounds like it is here too - was going to go tidy the garden but too wet and soggy, so in-house cleaning it is today.
