Morning all
Wet and grotty here too
Had a really early night last night ended the day in tears almost had been waiting wondering all day if OH would get me pressie for when he got home but was no pressiedon't know if he didn't have time or couldn't be bothered didn't even get anything for the kids to give me or a card from them. Still feeling a little sorry for myself today but going to put it behind me and just get on with keeping busy.
CM:(:( sorry to hear how it turned out and how upset you are. It really is a man thing they just have no idea how important it is even a little gesture to make as feel special:mad:.
My DH is exactly the same eg mothers day if I said have you sorted anything from the kids but your not my mum:mad: (even thou he left me always to sort his mum out which I never minded in the least)trouble is my kids have grown up with very little thought to Mothers day as he never made the effort:mad: DS2 did wish me Happy Mothers Day:j when he went off to work this morning. I have had several birthdays in the past no nice meal planned or present/card so just over the years learn't not to expect to much I know in the early years money was very tight I think he just got into the habbit of not having to make an effort:mad: so these days can be hit and miss.
I know there are the exceptional few men who do make an effort for their partners/OH but doesn't seem to be the norm.0 -
Happy Mothering Sunday to everyone and hugs to those missing their mother.
I have had breakfast in bed brought by DS from the top step :-)
Unfortunately he burnt his arm a little as DH let him help make breakfast :-( nt major burn but still makes me upset. He came up and gave me a big hug and said don't worry I am ok.0 -

Aw bless:A just showing you he's a tough little cookie:) and doesn't want to spoil your breakfast:A
Have you got some Aloe Vera it's good for burns we used to have a plant in the kitchen, we also keep an Aloe First natural soothing spray in the fridge but that works better using as soon as. Handy as most of the burns happen in the kitchen so easy to get hold off.0 -
Ah I bet your ds was really excited, shame about the party though.
Aesop poor ds, lovely of him to bring you breakfast though. I'm seeing my mum soon as well.
Should be interesting for my dh to get back from his mums with a broken toe. It's really far away as well.

He was so excitied. They also gave out a sealed envelope to the people waiting (think there may have only been 100 of these envelopes but they each had a verse specially signed by the author and one had a golden ticket (which he really was hoping to get) the winner would get her next book sent before it was realeased to the general public. He really is a literature geek:D:rotfl:Oh he got number 50 but no golden ticket
That's why I posted previously about what a brill job you are doing with your DS and encouraging him with books and making it so pleasurable for him. As my DS doesn't communicate socially very well and lives in his little bubble but through literature and books he connects it has got him out and travelling it has given him so much. He is looking forward to another book signing in April0 -
