Morning all

Wet and grotty here too

Had a really early night last night ended the day in tears almost had been waiting wondering all day if OH would get me pressie for when he got home but was no pressie don't know if he didn't have time or couldn't be bothered didn't even get anything for the kids to give me or a card from them. Still feeling a little sorry for myself today but going to put it behind me and just get on with keeping busy.

I'm sorry CM, that is why we had the party for you on here and FB to cheer you up.

I know it won't help how you are feeling but DH and I have been together 14 years, he can't even remember we have been together that long, and I haven't had a birthday card for last 3 years, not even from DS as he forgets to tell DS. Forget Mother's Day! Although DS made me a lovely card at school and always made something at nursery.

Was talking to a friend yesterday and said Happy Mothering Sunday and she said what Mothering Sunday? It is just another day isn't it? It is in my house, as is hers.

You did say DH has been working hard and men are very different to women. We make a huge effort to make it special and they love it but they don't understand we want the same back.

Guess why it was so bad this time was I actually said to him several times over last few weeks that I had seen reall nice jumper/item/book etc that I wanted could I buy it so he could wrap and give to me and he kept says nope all sorted this yr so I guess I had my expectations higher than I should have. That and it's hard not to cry when your 5yr old asks why mummy does get presents and treats like everyone else does I don't like making up lies for him

Ok I'm getting all silly and upset again right break out the cif mousse I'm off to watch a bath clean itself

Tomorrow is actually my dads birthday so I am taking out him and mum for meal to combine two pressies at same time lol so he can't do anything tomoz and I've already told him don't bother so I'm in control of Mother's Day. Just have to wrap his mums pressy and write in card for her then take round in the morning and that will be him sorted. Then going to let dd and ds pick some choccies or bath bits from my stash to wrap up so they don't get upset like last yr when had nothing to give me
