Just had email the Norfolk Hamper company ceased trading and is insolvent:mad::mad::mad:. Thank God got my money back to CC last week but alot of others have not and some were giving him the benefit of doubt and will now have nothing. Such a con man promising people things knowing it was not going to happen even issuing cheques that are most probably now going to bounce:mad::mad::mad:.

that's terrible. He probably bit off more than he could chew with his promise of hampers, hence why went insolvent, either that or as you said very clever conman.

Wish I had known you were going to be in London yesterday too, could have met to say a quick hello, AH.

I did get into Town and meet the other MSERs. We had a lovely day and DS was spoilt with a late xmas pressie, which he has wanted since he last saw it 3 years ago. This pressie means a lot though, as who it has been gifted by. So he better not break it! Although I will keep it even if he does, as it means a lot to me, because of the persons who gifted it.

We met at the 02 and then went to have a skulk around Harrods, can you believe it they had underwear at less than £9.95! I didn't buy any though...:rotfl:

Bit of a nightmare getting home due to planned works and diversions, but we did, and had supper of sausage and chips.

It was lovely though meeting up with the MSERs.

I haven't forgotten about our meetup, will think about it soon.

AM probably going to lose this job in the next few weeks, so am job hunting now so I can take redundancy and have something else to go to.

AH, you and I need to have words about this hammering of your cc.

So sorry to hear you might lose your job. Good luck with the job hunting, sounds as though you have lots of skills to offer though so hopefully won't be long before you find something else.

Would have loved that Aesop:) esp after realising you were in London also. We decided Saturday we were going to go on Sunday as the passes had to be done by the 31st and DS3 only home at weekend and had to be there. When we got up Sunday was snowing so heavy and had been for a while kept debating on whether it a good idea or not but worried something would happen next weekend didn't want to leave it then loose out on passes. So plan for an earlier start didn't happen we were going to use the Slug & lettuce voucher DH thought there was one at KC and would be nearer in case late for DS's train, but no, so ended up in Pizza Express using the tastecard annoyingly had GC at home but in a different purse:mad: as hadn't intended eating there. So would have been a bit of a rush to meet up but definately worth thinking abt for future.

Sorry to hear about your job Aesop:(:(:( really not the time to having to look so fingers crossed for you.

Aesop I go into London quite alot of Fri's to get DS from KCross station, sometimes DH does it if finished from work on time. So if you work near there maybe we can meet before if I come up earlier for lunch:)

    so do I :D

really must start my blog, maybe there is money to be made there....:rotfl:
  • DITTO what SND says you obviously have a lot of good skills and knowledge so should work to your advantage job hunting. Some people have said being made redundant has bettered them as gave them the push to look for something more challenging and better rather than carrying on a job they were doing already.

Mummy called in this morning & her colleague said he will call back & let her know if they are working but he didn't call back so mummy decided not to go as the driveway is about 4-5" covered in snow & she is too lazy to clear it so she decided to stay in bed :A I love running about in snow:rotfl: but my mistress does not like it when I got back into the house bringing some snow in too.

Tell your mummy she has to wrap you in a nice warm towel when you have finished playing in the snow. Then she has to make sure your warm and dry before giving you something nice to eat.:rotfl::rotfl:

Sledge would be ideal but he's only 18 months so when you pull it he would fall backwards, would be ok on way to school as one I the others could sit behind him but wouldn't work on way home with jut him that's why I was thinking laundry tub or tuff crate as he would be inside and couldn't fall over lol

    CM

A tuff crate would be good, maybe you could even put it on a sledge to make it easier to pull. Its got to be something that the little one can sit down in.

Hope you manage to sort something out.

Thanks:beer: everyone for your advice on cutlery :T

CW he is 26 a police officer he is the one that got married in Las Vegas in December returning Christmas Eva from Honeymoon. They are having a Celebration in Feb here for people who couldn't make Las Vegas ie Moi:(. Think this was pressure from his mum as she comes from a large Irish family and she was upset that people that had watched him grow up and were a big part of his life weren't at the wedding as couldn't afford to go and she was upset. They are going to be wearing their wedding clothes again. His new wife is very trendy and I would say expensive tastes:D :rotfl:

Then some expensive cutlery sounds ideal. As they seem to like nice things I bet they will love the cutlery set. Whats more its a nice and easy shape to wrap as well.:):):):):):)
