Sledge would be ideal but he's only 18 months so when you pull it he would fall backwards, would be ok on way to school as one I the others could sit behind him but wouldn't work on way home with jut him that's why I was thinking laundry tub or tuff crate as he would be inside and couldn't fall over lol

Going to do a quick catch up then will have to get back to tidying up. Got lots of laundry to put away and sort in bedroom :eek::eek: but just want to clear all papers out first as building up.0 -
AH - that is a really lovely pressie.
Went over to mum's this afternoon to clear her drive of snow, but she said someone knocked at her door, gave his name and said he lived "down the road" and would clear her driveway so that she could get out if needed.
Managed to find out who he was and went and knocked on his door to say thank you and took him a bottle of wine. He refused the wine and said he was glad to be able to help and only hoped that someone would do the same for his mum if she needed help. He had asked other neighbours if there was anyone elderly that needed their driveway clearing as he felt it was important to keep an eye on the older folks. He wanted to feel part of the community as he has only recently moved in. Just brought a really warm feeling that someone could be so nice.
Ohh how lovely of him:A especially in these days when most neighbours don't even notice each other:(. Well Done him:T0 -

If he is a student type/age for example he might think its too expensive for his needs.
If he is a bit older that and he likes nice things he would love it I am sure.

Thanks:beer: everyone for your advice on cutlery :T
CW he is 26 a police officer he is the one that got married in Las Vegas in December returning Christmas Eva from Honeymoon. They are having a Celebration in Feb here for people who couldn't make Las Vegas ie Moi:(. Think this was pressure from his mum as she comes from a large Irish family and she was upset that people that had watched him grow up and were a big part of his life weren't at the wedding as couldn't afford to go and she was upset. They are going to be wearing their wedding clothes again. His new wife is very trendy and I would say expensive tastes:D :rotfl:0 -

Really good of him, although he had to ask other neighbours where the "old people" in the road lived. Mum lives 2 doors away, but guess they are a young working couple so don't have chance to get to know the neighbours. Mum and I really appreciated it though.
Aesop - did you manage to meet up with other MSE'ers?0 -
What a lovely thing to do! :T. It's really nice to think there are still some people about that think about the older generation when they might need help.
It's been snowing here all day, so the long drive that I cleared yesterday has disappeared again! If nothing else, at least it is good exercise. Going a bit crazy though stuck in on my own! Stay warm everyone.
DH cleared a path to our garage on Sat:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: completely covered again:D thimk more fell yesterday than Fri but now got both together and pretty deep:eek:0 -
Thanks for the info. I think I jinxed myself talking about getting some salt cos I fell yesterday:o:o My wrist hurts a bit, but I put plenty of deep heat on last night and it doesn't seem as bad today though and nothing a few bevvies won't help as I won't feel it then
At least with all the snow it isn't so slippy at the moment.
Naughty Blue you never said you had hurt yourself on phone yesterday:(:(:( hope it is OK today.0 -
I'll swap you your parking ticket for my speeding ticket:cool: For once my OH was quite sympathetic about my speeding ticket as he could see how I could think the speed on the road was more as it was a duel carriageway. It was a good job he was cos he got caught by a speed camera himself last week. First time in about 20+ years he has been caught.
I'll catch up a bit more later today as I don't wanna give you all too much to read all at once:o:o
Oh dear bet he hated coming back and letting you know he picked up a speeding ticket:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:bet he is gutted:(0
