So glad that you are ok PM and I'm pleased that you are thinking that in time you may be able to get a little companion. You sound as though you are really good with birds and understand them so well - it would be a shame if you couldn't use your knowledge and understanding. Take care x0 -
Just love baking but no not a business my brother does do cakes and cupcakes as a sideline tho sell really well. I onl do them for family and school etc. first time using glitter dust (to get the sparkly silver numbers) and boy is that messy stuff lol. Prob doesn't work out any cheaper than buying one in supermarket but at least I know what these will taste like lol
Already planning my dd1 cake for feb too thinking pink and purple and glittery hearts.
The cake idea sounds lovely - very girlie. And with your skills you could really go to town - hope you will post a piccie. As somebody who is rubbish at baking I am very impressed how professional your cake looked.0 -
great cake!
Sorry to hear your news PM about Bella and Snowy. They will be perched on Rainbow Bridge with all our lost furry/feathery friends and looking down on you with love, chin up x
What a gloomy day. Can't get my butt in gear to do anything productive, ah well, better waste some time comping then...
Feeling a little odd, a "for sale" sign has gone up one side of us (they are splitting up) my neighbour the other side has decided to move to Plymouth this year to be with her daughters so at some point this year there will be newbies either side of us. Always a bit disconcerting, classic buy-to-let properties, always better the devil you know...
Beth is now almost what is considered "term" and Ive always thought baby Luca will arrive early. So, I am permanently anxious. Especially concerned for Connor's safety given the recent shooting of a young sapper in his camp. Connor is 2.1 regiment, young Sapper Walker was regiment 2.8 and they both work closely together in the closing down of camps etc in readiness for the cull of troops. He was considered a friend, so it has shaken morale badly as you can imagine. Small blip last week as Connor's status on his fb showed "Fleet, Hampshire" instead of the usual "Middle East" and we were all convinced he had been flown home early. Beth was quite upset when after lots of false alarms he was a no show of course. Still better he come home on leave as planned at end of Jan and hopefully be here for the baby's grand entrance.
Not much spare dosh right now so am having to sit on my hands and not give in to the temptation to buy baby boy stuff in the sales.
Hate this month, its like its full of Mondays! Bring it on February...
Love and happy new year hugs to all xLove, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x0 -
Took me 11 attempts to buy my car insurance since 11.30am & I am exhausted!!!!
1) 4 attempts via TCB to buy car insurance from aviva - when it comes to proceed payment - it crashed.
2) Called Aviva - stupid women giving me wrong info - she is blaming cashback website & nothing she can do.:( Told me to contact TCB something wrong with their cashback website.
3) Look for at 4 other insurer companies all very expensive even after cashback.
4) Tried again twice using Imutual even though they only offer £30 cashback. Same thing happened it crashed.
5) I called Aviva again & this kind chap told me that Aviva do not recognise firefox & gchrome:eek: told me to use IE. & at last I got thru':j
All these time I thought there was something wrong with my credit card and debit card:(
So folks if you wanna buy insurance via cashback website & it crashed when it comes to payment page then try using IE;)
Admiral £500 ish multi vehicle.
Axa £250ish single veh.
Churchil £350ish single veh.
The best is Aviva : £385 multi veh before £40.40 cash back.
I have enough of cybering. Time to rest now.:DRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

Finally the contractor came out to have a look at the boiler, we still don't know what happened but I had carbon manoxide in me when I was on the ambulancethey were ment to come and deal with something else and didnt come.
Snowy and bella join wispa and kiwi in the garden. Snowy was only a baby really and bells should have lived for years. Used to get up and have my coffee and she would come out and sit on my computer and snowy loved calling to the parakeets as soon as he got up.
Not really been getting up as I don't have anyhting to get up for. Back to the surgeon this week so go to concentrate on that.

How is the weight loss going DSIL is at target now think she lost a total of 3stone 6lbs she looks and feels really great and she only started this time last year. She puts most of her success down to walking.
Thanks AH.
Unfortunately, I think I have lost the plot when it comes to the weight! Having got to goal by losing 3 stone, I started to relax just before Christmas and now can't get back on the straight and narrow. Got on the scales for the first time on Tuesday and have put on 12 lbs!! Must somehow find some willpower.
Your DSIL has really done well, I bet she is on top of the world.:T. I also think walking is very good exercise for you - that is the main reason I started playing golf.
PM - Glad you are OK and I hope all goes well with the surgeon next week.
AH - I hope you got to see Les Miserables and you enjoyed your day.
TS - Glad you're feeling a little better, I'm sure it does you good to get out of the house when you've been cooped up for so long, even if it's just to lift your spirits.
Lovely cake Chattmum.
MAGS - I can thoroughly recommend being a granny, bet you can't wait!0 -
Just popped in before bed.
Thanks snd and caz.
Hope everyone's adva good day x0
