    No, let's.

I've not seen many six-wheeled Audi A5s, so they are both awd and 4wd. A 6x4 truck is 4wd, but not awd.
Erm, you are very wrong i'm afraid. nothing to do with the number of wheels.

Hi James 2k. I have scanned the inside cover but struggling to see how I post. I have been on audi forum before and put all numbers/letters etc into identical copy boxes but from memory didn't state anything about drive system. Showed what radio, trim etc was fitted to car. If you can let me know how I post or give me email address I will send

You need to host it on tinypic or the suchlike. Then post a link but change http to hxxp.

there is an easier way, on your dash, do you have this quattro badge?

    assuming it is a b8 or b8.5 a5

Thank you unholyangel. The claim would be under £10k.i was just unsure whether I would claim full amount as I still had the car.
You can claim the full amount but the likelihood is they'll reject it as you're not entitled to a full refund having used it for 5 months or so.

Thank you for the majority of replies so far. The car has nothing on it saying Quattro and that is what got me thinking. I am no expert oncars so I was going off the advert which stated it was a Quattro and went on to say how great the Quattro 4wd system was. Because I was worried I firstly checked on a vin checker Web site and it came back with 2wd. I then contacted Audi and they confirmed. Everytime you search for anything, insurance etc it says the car is a Quattro. The reason I purchased a Quattro was that this winter my previous car (mercedes rwd) let me down in the snow and I could not use it for 3 days to get to and from work. We have not had bad weather since hence why I have only just checked. I therefore didn't need a suv but wanted something that I could rely on in bad weather because of where I live. The problem I have is that the trader has not responded to my letter and the signature on recorded delivery does not match the original signature from when I purchased the vehicle. In my opinion the trader completely fobbed me off when I spoke with them on phone and have offered no resolution. I purchased what I thought was a Quattro as that is what it was advertised as and I paid money for a Quattro. From what I can gather regarding law the trader is responsible for collecting car and issuing refund. I cannot arrange this as they have not responded hence my question about what I should claim. Thanks once again.

If you get a refund make sure they refund you for the winter wheels and tyres you purchased.

Sorry. The car is a 2009 2.0tdi.i stated I needed a quattro as I had a rwd. The advert as I have said stated the car was a quattro and went into great detail about how good it would be in the snow we were having at the time.

Good, you specified you wanted a certain feature, and they sold you a car without that feature. It's not fit for your purpose. This strengthens your position. They are expected to be expert and know what they're selling. The V5 thing is unusual, but they should know better. If they were to put it up in the air to service it, they should have noticed. Especially if they were to (attept to) inspect the Haldex diff!

You should be looking to get a refund, minus a charge for whatever use you've had of the car, basically you would agree an amount for how many miles you've done. That seems reasonable to me.
2wd and winter tyres will be far more capable in snow than 4wd and summer tyres.

Sure, but that's not the point of the post.

Thank you almillar. I totally agree. The problem I have at the minute is that they have not replied to my letter. I have given them 14 days to reply and they have not done so. They are a prolific seller of cars on ebay and when I sent the letter they had 12 cars for sale. As of today they have none. They have been a member of eBay for years under a particular user name? I don't know if this is all a coincidence? They asked me to address the letter to a particular company of which I received a receipt when I bought the car. I have checked with companies House and a similar named company where the person concerned was a director was dissolved in 2017.I am still unclear whether I should claim full amount or difference between what I paid and what a non quattro car is worth today
