Hello all
I have a vokera riello and noticed it was making an unusual sound I have never heard before, like a knocking thunderstorm sound rather than the usual calm heating water sound.
I checked the bar and it was -0 ...... do you think this could be the cause of the strange noise? how do I correct the bar and where should the bar be when the boiler is and is not activated?
If I do not do this quickly what could the damage be?
thanks in advance

That is more than likely the cause. If you are down at 0 then you're boiler has emptied itself of all pressure. Sounds like you have a leak somewhere that needs rectifying before you fill the system again. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

How to correct, you will need to locate the filling loop/link sometimes they are directly under the boiler sometimes they are remote from the boiler.
have a read of the boiler user instructions, tells about pressure.avoid using the boiler when a lack of pressure exists it avoids other problems.
when was the pressure last topped up ?0 -
As above, find the fill-in loop and top it up - should have a gauge mark/range to show what pressure it should be between normally
If it loses pressure again quickly, you have a leak & need a professional0 -
Well I reset the boiler and got the bar up to 1.5 which it has stayed at all day.
Hot water working fine but only issue is the loud banging noise everytime the hot water is activated. Why could this be?
Its only 8 months old but I do not know where the Benchmark Log Book is and Vokera said without it then I will be charged.0 -
Noise is coming from the actual boiler not the pipes or anything, the hot water from the taps are working fine though but the noise is terrible from the boiler? What does this indicate? do you think the hot water might stop working soon?0

Well the boiler sounds even worse now and now I have no hot water and no heating.0

Is it dangerous?0

First contact should be with your installer,if the installer will not help, see if you have any heating/plumbing/boiler insurance cover (often bundled in with other products).
If no insurance, sorry you will have to splash some cash.0 -
Thanks, in the mean time is it dangerous?0

I suspect the pump is stuck/seised by still using it you will likely cause more damage, speak to the installerI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
