    I'm back!

It's very quiet on here this afternoon.

I can now see my living room floor AND it is hoovered! I also phoned Virgin as they had charged me a £5 payment handling fee because I don't pay by DD even though I do!

We've had new street lights outside and so they've dug up the pavements. I asked one of the workmen very nicely earlier on if he would put another steel sheet over the entrance to the drive as it was awkward to get on and off. They've been outside again - pushed the two steel sheets that were already there closer together and moved the barriers that are covering the holes up closer together so there is even less room to get the car in! They'd better becoming back later or I will not be impressed!

    Afternoon everyone and happy halloween!

Back at my mother's house today playing nurse again. So far today I've delivered some letters to the post office for my elderly neighbour, driven to Cannons to pick up a membership suspension form for my mother as she can't go to the gym because of her bad back, cleaned this manky keyboard and the desk, mouse and monitor, made 3 cups of tea for my mother, made her lunch, and arranged for a parcel to be redelivered for her. My halo is shining nicely now. :A Oh, and I also managed to get a load of washing done and hung outside before I left this morning (really hoping it's not going to rain now, as it's very cloudy out there, and was brilliant sunshine when I left).

Hugs to everyone who needs them, particularly LJD1.

My friend who had her baby the other day emailed me a picture of her today, and she's really sweet. She had a shaky start with her, as she was jaundiced and had to be under a UV lamp for a couple of days after she was born, and had to go back in for a checkup on the day we all went up to see her, so I still haven't met her yet.

We don't have trick or treaters when I live, as it's all flats, so I don't have the temptation of a sweety barrell, although OH was trying to convince me that we needed one!:rotfl:

Dusty.. I've done a grand total of nothing as well.. but I have done £800+ of christmas shopping so the little 3 are sorted!! and the bigger 5 are nearly sorted.. and ds1 has next to nothing!! (books and smellies are all I've got him so far!)

Having lunch and a huge cuppa then I need to package up 2 ebay parcels and post them on the way to school.. IF I can be bothered to freeze my toots off going to the shed!!

No sweets bin here either as it is mainly students noone ever comes knocking.. I am just about the only one down the street with small children!

    I'm back again.

Done some ironing - how did you get on shell? I've done all the horrible bits that get left in the bottom of the basket - you know - dresses, fiddly tops, DD's rara skirts - or is it only me who does that?

Going to get sorted now to go and LOs from school.

Oh and the bloke I spoke to this morning has just been back and put me another steel sheet over my drive and widened the gap for me so he can have a star!
